Homework #5 Read 3.1-3.2 We didn't finish covering what's in 3.2 but we almost did:   After elimination, multiply (or divide) each row to make its pivot a 1. This puts the matrix in echelon (or row echelon) form.  The pivots are all 1's; below and to the left of them are all 0's. Working upwards from the lower right pivot, more row operations will make the numbers above the pivots all 0 too.  This is reduced row echelon form.
