Anyways, from past experiances, I believe the best way to handle a new tournament, is not to have "Boards", but like in the SMPT, "Teams." I'm a captain, and best part was requiting people and stuff.

Whatever, Boards will work, but, you know.

If this tournement is well organized, I'd also like to participate if a team would want me. My G/S Paracon team is desperate for some action.

In RBY competitions, several clauses have become almost standard by now (sleep, mewX, evade). GS tourney play on this level has never been attempted before, so a set of rules should be laid down ASAP, to minimise confusion.

Sleep Clause should be in effect.
NO OHKO's if they;re glitched on this PBS ON

Evade Clause should not be in effect. Because most G/S teams have hazers or roarers/whirlwinders to deal with Double/Resting.

And all pokemon should be allowed because all pokemon in G/S are beatable.

And about this touranment. I would hold it at least a month after you are able to fight. Because no one knows what players are really like. They may have good looking teams etc, but how well can they battle.

Sleep Clause in g/s? are you that unskilled in g/s that you STILL need sleep clause? there are so many ways to counter it in g/s it's not funny. I say no rules unless there are glitched moves.

Well.... me and my other co-workers have came up with only a few rules as of right now, so here they are....

- All 251 pokemon are allowd
- OHKO Ban (not too much skill if your using those)
- No Evade Clause
- No Sleep Clause
- No Freeze Clause
- No explosion on your last pokemon
- No using Gimped up (bugged) moves that don't work in the GS PBS

That's it as of right now.... And, we have decided to make it a board Tourney, so it's board verse board, and each board picks their own captains.

Plus.... the battling will begin 1 week after the GS PBS is fully functional. I am making the site at this time.

I would have joined, but we will need like 6 or so months to practice. I mean, how many people were actually good at RBY PBS until they battled 30 times or so? Even then, people didnt get the hang of it.....and G/S is even more complicated, so we might need even longer.

1. No Hidden Power. Although I'd use it in real life if it's legal, it should never have been made. It's just dieing to be abused. It's much funner to play without it.

2. No Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, or Celebi. The first three are just plain cheap. Ho-oh and Celebi aren't as cheap since they have real weaknesses, but it's still kind of overpowered, and there are weaker substitutes.

3. Sleep clause would be nice simply because a lucky Jumpluff or an Agility'ed Parasect or Smeargle with Spore can reek havock, and sleep is cheap anyway since it's almost like a 1HKO.

GS is supposed to be more balanced then RBY. Let's try to keep it that way.

I meant the G/S PBS, f00, and I would like to see how many people actually have a SINGLE real G/S Battle against another person actually PLAYED. Seriously now, you can't go making a tourney on something that hasn't even been released and something that many people aren't familiar with.

When was G/S released in the US anyway, I'd love to have an exact date to have on mind.

And as for legendaries, here's a compromise: one legendary (moltres/articuno/zapdos/mewtwo/mew/entei/suicune/raikou/lugia/houou) per team. No Celebi, since you can't get him.

Hey, I'm doing all I can to discourage these CRAP tournies...just WAIT for people to have battle experience.

But, still, you can't call Moltres/Cuno/Dos/Entei/Suicune/Raikou legendaries...they don't have the stats to go gaga over, and they don't have recover...just give them a break. There never has been a legendary clause in any other tournament. Just Super-Legendary.

Just let the tourney go until everyone has battle experience, plz
