Its all in this battle story...

"Kabu" uses the FUN/TEST team of Gengar, Clefable, Slowbro, Persian, Tauros, Sandslash. "The Clogging Espeon" uses Exeggutor, Alakazam, Starmie, Snorlax, Golem, Lapras.

I lead with Gengar. Him with Exeggutor. I hit with Hypnosis. And we both switch out. Me to Clefable, him to Alakazam. We exchange Thunderwaves, zam reflects ruining my gameplan, so I switch out to Slowbro. I get hit with a SPCL down psychic. I amnesia, hes fp'd. I amnesia again, he hits a regular psychic. He switches to Golem to take a SURF. It survives with 2%...1 Spcl down, 2 amnesias and it survives? What the hell? 4x weakness and STAB. Well he CH explodes and we fall.
5-5 TIE
I send in Persian, him Starmie. I switch to Clefable to absorb the obvious t-wave. I t-wave it back while it surfs me twice when I'm fp'd twice. Finally I get a break with a CH t-bolt and an FP.
5-4 Kabu
He sends in Lax. Expecting a weak elemental or a body slam, I send in Gengar. He amnesias, I t-bolt, he amnesias, I explode. Gengar has done well.
4-3 Kabu
I send in Persian once more against his 90% kazam. Hyper beam won't kill it and I would have to recharge and obviously die, so I slash. He t-waves, then gets a CH psychic.
3-3 TIE
Sandslash for clean up.
3-2 Kabu
Sandslash vs Lapras. I have no experience with this guy but I know that its faster than Lapras. I Rock Slide the Ice type to a weak 70% and get hit by a CH Blizzard. Don't think it was needed to ko me but it happened.
2-2 TIE
I send in Tauros. Body slam, Confuse Ray, Hurt myself twice in a row, he hits a blizzard, then misses one, I fire a hyper beam and take it to 0%! 0! He hits a blizzard, I fall.
1-2 TGE
I bring in the paralyzed 2% Clefable which I probably should have sacked a while back. He blizzards, game over. He had a 0% Lapras and a sleeping Egg left.
0-2 TGE

Lesson learned? Gengar is very useful, something is really wrong with the Slowbro vs Golem matchup, 3 physical pokemon are only good against Chansey users cuz of low special factors, and yea.

You know how an ability lowering to your opponent and an ability raising to you would multiply together (as opposed to adding) in the game? Maybe its dividing instead, like focus energy did on the gameboy! Just a theory though.

Well, if you got a special down, and 2 amnesias, that should have taken you up 4 notches, and down 1 to make it 3... making your special about 670...

How that Golem lived, I will never know... hella funny....

According to damage formula, it would have done somewhere around 1800 damage.... i think. did it real fast...

XD! bug...

All I can say is that my Poli never experienced any flukes with his Amnesias.
I'll have to do some investigating into it.
