It disgusts me to see Zapdos/Starmie/Kazam/Rhydon or Sandslash on every freaking team on PBS! Here I go for a nice battle with Wiggly, Porygon, and the three other normal pokémon on my team, just to be bombarded with +300 stat pokémon. Is it really that fun to beat someone's Porygons ass with a Starmie? Why don't people use Seadra at least? It's not like it would be any harder! Comon! Use some creativity! Why don't people formulate teams AND CHALLENGE THEMSELVES in coming up with teams not exclusively based on clichéd pokémon and movesets? Is formulaic winning still fun? After two and a half years?? It bugs the hell out of me to get Thunderwaved by four members of someone's team. Not because I'm angry that it leads to my death... But that I'd rather be double-edged to death, or even have someone try and use toxic against me (Yeah yeah... that is soooooo three tournaments ago. Spare me) I hate PBS

Hey, 10K where have you been???

Yeah, diversity is great. The sucky cup was created for it, IMO. StarCaliber and I wanted to see more diverse team so we said that certain pokemon could not be used.

Heya 10K! Biffster's story about Sucky Cup is true. You need to tell people you want a Sucky Cup battle, because flat-out playing like it's your last battle on earth every time gets way dull way fast.

Spring forth, metallics! And save us!

Which was a great idea at the time.. BUT.. it's become just like regular pokemon battling now... with best of those at the top and frequently used (Persian, Dodrio, Golem, etc), and the bad, still neglected (Farfetch'd, Magmar, etc)..

I guess you can't really blame people for trying to win...I mean, they all have Starmies because all the other guys have Starmies...you know, for the same reason we have all those nukes.

Personally, I play the game like you do...I choose the Pokemon I love...

Have you tried "Sucky Cup" play? Snorlax probably wouldn't be allowed, but the rest of your team might be.

I'm sure my whole team is allowed, except for Snorlax, I guess.

I use Starmie because I like it, not just because it's strong and versatile (although I've alternated preferences with Cloyster and Lapras as well).

Common PBS Pokemon I don't like: Slowbro, Chansey. I'll frequently kamikaze in order to get rid of them.

I'm tired of seeing so many friggin evaders! dammit there are so many of them on pokemon who can have better movesets. evading is the cheap way out and doesnt require skill and ruins what pokemon is all about which i dont know right now, i just know that its not getting lucky doubleteam/minimize resting! but basically all teams are the same on pbs anyway...
start- tauros/alakazam/jolteon
ground- sandslash/rhydon
water- starmie
grass- exeggutor
psychic- alakazam
other- snorlax/zapdos

its sooo boring...

------------------
PBS Names- Kabutops, Lavos, Ktops_Sucky_Team

Longest winning streak (Kabutops team)- 30-0 and counting...
Longest losing streak-(Kabutops team) 0-8

I see where you guys are coming from. And you guys are talking about cutting more of the Sucky Cup. Yeah, I'm seeing an abundance of certain Pokemon, but no matter how much you limit it, a certain group will always be better than the other. It's just the way Pokemon is. I see limiting as something pointless.

I find it funny that using Mewtwo on PBS is original.

I agree, totally. Evaders just piss me off, on PBS their (for some reason) harder to hit then on RBY. Now-a-days you can't face a team without it having a swift dancer or a hazer. Because of this I had to raise a new vaporeon just so I have a chance with them. Evaders just ruin the entire game

That was lame. Sorry.

I highly doubt that. Please do some controlled research (not just "it seems like...") before claiming stuff like this.

I decided that for ethical reasons, I won't use the Double Team TM, so the only evaders I use are those who learn DT/Minimize naturally.

Well, that's why I use my "Nubian" and "Nubian's Revenge" team more than my others.

Nubian's Revenge actually has a 2:1 record against normal teams. =P
