Okay... no log here but we need a judge's help. Here's the low-down on what happened.

Battle 1: We start off, play a game of switcheroo and then Avalanche is disconnected. *kicks AOL* We say no biggies and start again.

Battle 2: We start off and the battle is getting hectic. I'm winning by one or two (this is just bragging, it shouldn't affect your decision) and then someone phones him again and *poof* disconnected again. Not a problem, let's go.

Battle 3: We battle and it is also hectic. This time though, it leans over towards his side. MSIE 5 then decides it'll be mean and I get an illegal operation. We let the battle begin again (after I reboot my comp, just so I feel better).

Battle 4: I think there was a disconnection again on Avalanche's side [Avalanche: Please correct me if this is wrong, it's 1:00am in the morning here...].

Battle 5: All goes well and it's tight like heck. In the end it all falls apart and he wins with his Gengar and Rhydon left.

The controversy is in the 5th battle. His Rhydon had Horn Drill and I recalled that was an illegal move. Now I checked the rules post by Argo and it didn't state it but then on this post: http://www.math.miami.edu/~jam/azure/forum/tuff/Forum9/HTML/000053.html by Argo, it states they are banned. Though Argo is not part of the IBT any longer I believe that the rules he set out are still valid. Avalanche didn't know that they were banned and I really doubt that he's lying.

Now here's the question: is he DQed, do I lose... or do we have to have a battle #6? I'd like the judges to say something about this though everybody else can state their opinion here, I guess.

Avalanche: Please keep your team the same in case we have to battle again.

Thanks for your time.

K, I am not IBT anything but let me say what I think.

1 Hit KO moves are bugged cuz they can hit faster pokemon. If he used on only slower pokemon I can`t see why he should be DQed. Unless he forced a switch by trying to Drill a faster pokemon. [IBT banned the move cuz let`s say Rhydon drills Lax but Lax is switched out and comes Aerodactyl, Aero can be killed].

I didn't know the nature of the One-hit KO bug but if when slower it still retains it's 29.7% accuracy then he used it at the right time. My Exeggutor (which he knocked out) was paralyzed so his Rhydon was faster than me.

Though he did use the move under fair conditions, I wonder if we should have another match just purely due to the fact he had that move in the first place. *shrugs* A rule is a rule and should be enforced but timing of his move is at the time where the move is no longer "buggy" but works as the move is supposed to. I guess I'll go to sleep so when I wake up I'll (hopefully) have an answer. What a night this has been... and it's my birthday too... -_-;

Well, being from Azure, I naturally want Avalanche to win, so I shouldn't give my decision. We should ask Cryos or Deranged. Hey, Deranged is on now. *Goes to ask question*

Well, thanks to the abundance of refs we now have, we were able to decide this without ANY bias.

I gathered Deranged and Caos2, and Cryos was gonna help when he got online. All of these were NOT from the boards involved. They pondered the case, and they both came up with this conclusion:

Avalanche wins, but must remove Horn Drill IMMEDIATELY

Ok, case closed. Credit the win to Avalanche. That was 2 ref votes. Cryos, even if he said no, wouldn't matter.

Okay, I respect your decision. Avalanche, I'll send the log so you don't have to send it. If you already sent it well... I guess Fahna will have two copies then. *shrugs*

Thanks Don and everyone for being so understanding. I will take of the horn drill, and never use it again. "removes its horn with chainsaw". And Im rereading the rules before every fight from now on. By the way, I just wanted to add that DOn did good by UPN, and played a great battle. And happy birthday, hope you have a good one.
