It is my sad duty to report that the original RBY/Stadium world champion, Darryn Van Vuuren, lost his life earlier this year.

I'm really sorry to hear this. Darryn was such a smart, funny guy and great company the couple of times we met IRL - not to mention the many, many hours on IRC (all a long time ago now). I hadn't realised he was still in London.

Very sad news but thanks for the post, Iyse. I'll definitely attend the service.

Very sad news.
Unfortunalery, I never met Darryn in person.
But he was definately one remarkable influence in the early Pokémon era.

R.I.P. Darryn.

I'll of course join the conference.
