Those stats must have been early in my career, what with all that P90ing. Also looks like I was going thru an experimental AUG phase. I never did figure out the Colt or the AK, but I eventually learned how to rawk the n00b cannon.

Every now and then I have a flashback to one round on dust where I blasted the hell out of 3 guys with the cannon, finished them all off with d00lies, switched back and reloaded my last 2 shells, wounded some guy, then kilt him with teh pistols for a sweet 4 kill d00lie rampage.

Two people accused me of cheating, one of killstealing, and everyone else was laughing their balls off.

Ah, teh olden tymes.

I recently tried to recapture a little of that magic by downloading the free FEAR deathmatch thing. I was into it for about an hour and then the mindless carnage (and not knowing wtf anything on the map was) bored me and I haven't really played since. Also my video card sucks.

Speaking of retro, this looks cool, but last I'd read, they neutered my two favorite griefer classes, medic and pyro.

It's a long way from this...

Also hello.

Yeah, I just picked up a sorta-recent video card. First graphics upgrade since The Counter-Strike Years. You can get a lot of power (enough to max out Half-Life 2) for dirt cheap these days, but you need a motherboard with the new type of beepdy-boopdy video slot. I think TF2 looks fun, but I go in for that toony-ass shit. Also I didn't like TFC, and Quake TF (which I have fond recollections of you comparing CS to) was back when I was in diapers.

I haven't even tried CS:Source yet, but I kind of want to. You should use your awesome Miami bandwidth to host a CSS server and call it g00p to see if all the boys from the glory years show back up.

I doubt our office PCs beep and boop appropriately.

I'm not sure TF2 would be enough for me to get a real play machine at home. I really liked Quake TF, but the Half-Life version unnecessarily sucked scrotum.

The tone for this one does look right, however, especially the rocket jumping soldiers, which means there's at least some appreciation for fun over logic. Although turning the medic into a support class instead of a murderous bio-terrorist fucking blows hippo.

I wonder if these goddam games will ever solve the "stuck on a nugget" problem. I experienced it with that FEAR game (man who can survive bullet to the face is completely incapacitated by small curb), and was almost surprised that things haven't evolved yet. There can't be a player alive who desires that kind of response, so the game designers must be serious fart sniffers.

Even I get tired of complaining about the same goddam thing for 15 years.

Also it seems that grey is the new brown. At least TF2 has some color.

ALSO: I would like to talk to all those g00p guys one more time, if only to rub their face in the fact that I was right about Bush and this here war and nearly every single one of those Kentucky fucks was completely wrong.
