graduation does as well.
here's my rant tho
i have 2 piercings, my cartilege and my eyebrow. my dad wasn't happy when i got my cartilege piercing 3 years ago, but this past year i had my eyebrow pierced.
i had it done in the fall, then took it out for winter break cuz i didn't wanna get disowned...it pissed me off cuz i was 21 at that time...turning 22 on may 10th...
i put it back in the spring semester (this one) and i want to confront him about it...he's in florida i'm in New hampshire.
this is who i am, i'm gonna be 22 years old, and if he wants to disown me/not support me through law school/college then fine...dont' come to my graduation but...i don't know what to tell him so it doesn't escalate to that point.
can anyone help me out on what kind of things i can say to counter his traditional attitude?

Getting piercings is pretty dry. There are worse areas you can get pierced. You can get your ear pierced and turn it into a hole large enough to hold a pencil.
Not a great way to store your pencils though.
Anyway, if it was me, I wouldn't bring it up. I'd have him bring it up. If he argues, don't fuel the fire. Make it seem like he's over-reacting.

you're 22 and you still type like you did when you were 17, which was at a 7th grade level.
you're 22 and you have an eyebrow peircing and are a man. you have some kind of other piercing as well.
were you the one who was going to work for his daddy's law firm because if so nobody is going to want a lawyer with an eyebrow piercing.

yea all i had to do was really just talk it out with my dad, so worked out fine and everything. i was bein a pussy about it, but i guess i care more about other people's feelings more than my own sometimes, especially my family. glad things worked out though thanks everyone
