I can live without it. Fortunately, it isn't like the jump from GBA to GBA SP, where the backlighting and rechargeable battery were things that I needed to have. The current rumor is that it isn't backwards-compatible anymore, but I don't know how much stock to put in that. If it's true, though, fuck it.

Something just pointed out to me - is the touchscreen raised above the rest of the lower half? Odd shadowing going on there.

Yay for late responses, but from what I've read, yes, the lower touch screen *is* raised, so that when closed, the two screens fit tightly against each other to prevent objects from getting in-between and scratching them.

They release on the 25th in Europe. I'm currently contemplating which games to get.
