Yeah I'm pretty sure the Pope and pretty much all non-fucked-up-fundamentalist demoninations of Christianity basically say that it's okay to be gay if you also treat it as a call to celibacy. So you can want the cock, you just can't get the cock.

Since breaking the jewel was Kagome's fault, she has to help track them down along with Inuyasha. Later on, Kagome falls in love with Inuyasha and that also adds to why she keeps coming back.
Do not blame jesus for why MK can't get a girl.
