So it would seem that Nintendo is doing something! There isn't any mention of any GB tournaments, however, which would be something to get me interested in the game again, but they do mention stage shows. Various bands covering pokemon music can't be that bad.

Nothing like 2000, but still worthy of mention.

Fuck that. Here're the states:

California
Arizona
Texas
Illinois
Massachusetts

I ain't in any of those states so looks like I'm fucked. I'll bet they're giving out Mystic Tickets to get to Naval Rock or tickets to Faraway Island for Mew. And fucking XD isn't gonna have a pre-order disc to give you a legendary like Colosseum did with Jirachi.

Actually, if it's anything like last year's, there will be a tournament. They came to Seattle last year and they battled it out on Colosseum. Dude won a GameCube and other stuff.

Stage show involved various audience participation with kids like dancing and whatnot so it's probably gonna be so-so.

But still, I want to go this year too. Damnit.

The big question for me is where in California? I'm in the San Francisco Bay area, so I'm guessing San Diego or L.A., since that would be hundreds of miles away. Since they had a comics con in San Diego, odds are on L.A.

OK, I'm in. I wish they'd post complete details on the San Jose event. Anybody else going? Anybody who needs a jirachi? I may pick up a used copy of ruby just to get extra jirachis for firered and emerald, so maybe I could bring a jirachi along to Pokemon Rocks.

Update: It will be (predictably) at the San Jose Convention Center. I still don't know what time.
