So does smogon gather people who actually *are* playing, or is it just another Karp Park?

I checked the site, and saw no menus and stuff, something I attribute to my privxoy/adblock/greasemonkey combo, but perhaps someone involved with it could tell me if new stuff is being written/researched there, or if it is just a reiteration of stuff from all the previous Pokémon research sites (Azure, skill-statfinder, Necrosaro's page etc)?

It's a site about the aspects of competitive battling, the PokeDex has movesets and strategy information for about 92% of the fully evolved pokemon. I decided to make it because there weren't any sites about actually playing the game (most being about anime, etc)

Even this site *used* to be mainly about research and you can't find movesets or such. There will probably be research about Diamond & Pearl when it comes back, but I don't think I will be researching because I barely ever play pokemon anymore. The site forums used to be just for the IRC crowd, but that sorta changed when about 700 other members joined.
