Emerald isn't released until sometime in May. You know how Yellow was an update to Blue/Red and Crystal was an updated to Gold/Silver? Well, Emerald is the update to Ruby/Sapphire. It has some kick ass stuff for "Hardcore trainers" (really)

For example, they made berries which purposely undo stat-experience incase someone poorly stat trained a pkmn, talk about nice [Smile]

Up till stat, stat experience was eternal, now we can undo it...

Also, NEW MOVE TUTORS! I can finally get up-till-now non-obtainable moves [Smile]

Plus, breeding is 500% better... If you breed with a Ditto and make ditto hold an everstone, you have a 50/50 shot of getting whatever NATURE ditto had passed onto baby!

ALSO, if you have a pkmn with a certain nature in your team, such as heat body, eggs hatch twice as fast ^_^

once it loads to see ALL the features, the list in the middle isn't nearly all of em.

One of the coolest features is that Mew is an unlockable event in Emerald. So if Nintendo decides to hold an event, it can give away the ability to go to the super-hidden island, catch Mew, and you can nickname it and/or keep catchin one till it has 1337 stats... [Razz]

I assure you everyone, I did use my guile and wit to obtain this!

I am a little ticked, this thing won't work with Box after getting the Pokedex! I wanted to send my uber-pkmn to my cart and plow through the game!

The people that got the Emerald pre-order thing got a tin and a card that allowed you to access a special Emerald page wherein you were allowed to take an online Pokémon identification test back in March. The top scorers of said test were whittled down to 14 with another test and those 14 were invited to Seattle to compete for a trip to the Pokémon Park in Japan.

It was today, er, yesterday.

And yes some fat kid beat him essentially with a Fly/Hyper Beam Rayquaza ._. so he got second.

The contest itself was bullcrap. The first two rounds (to qualify) were just games.

For the first one, you're shown a Pokemon, then you scroll through a list of types and guess which type(s) the Pokemon is. For the second, you had name one of the weaknesses of the shown Pokemon.

They were basically "if you scroll fastest, you win" games.

I know a good guy who says he got all questions correct and in a time faster than those he were competing against, yet THEY got the higher scores...

I don't understand what the problem is.

There is one thing I have NEVER liked about the way they handle Pokémon Events... randomness!

When I went to the Pokémon Stadium tour of Summer 2000, the 2 people choosen to go fight a Nintendo Representative on Stadium were CHOSEN AT RANDOM.

For the Pokémon r0xx0r America tour of 2004, they had the people play at most 3 matches of single elimination. At the end, everyone still in the game had their names put in a hat and were choosen RANDOMLY to see who would battle on the big screen TV for the grand prize.

So it went like, 160 people to 80 people to 40 people to 20 people [which was cool cause you won/lost based upon your actual skill in battling an opponent]

But THEN, out of the 20 so odd people left, they put their names in a hat, and choose FOUR of them to finish battling it out. So, even if you DID survive all previous 3 rounds, the final round they basically randomly and unfairly say "goodbye" to 16 people -_-

They should have just kept battling from 20 to 10 to ... till only one remained! Why must they do such bullshit!? I feel sorry for the 16 other d00ds who made it to the 3rd round only to be cut for no good reason...

You probably worked one of the other locations. I went to the location in Seattle. You other two probably went to other spots. There were three other ones, right? You're probably both right, but it happened at other tour spots.
