If you haven't found it already:

Advance wars online

Well, it's names actually Battalion, but the mechanics/units are practically the same AW1/AW2 (with the polish which was lacking from the online Advance wars simulator by Roma_emu). The map design for 2, 3 and 4 players are also such that the games don't take a year to complete.

As account registration is hasslefree and there's no download required you might as well try it if you're an AW/FE'ish person (as if there's anybody still alive here).
