2005 NFL Playoff Predictions
Wild Card Round
AFC: Jets at Chargers Too much LT and Gates for Jets to handle.
AFC: Broncos at Colts Lynch's big hit last week sealed Denver's fate this week.
NFC: Rams at Seahawks Seahawks D is just plain horrible.. not saying that the Rams are better, but at least the Rams' receivers don't drop the ball.
NFC: Vikings at Packers Minny hasn't won a meaningful game in...forever, not to mention they are horrible in December and January.
Divisional Round
AFC: Chargers at Steelers Burress and Staley coming back will lift Roethlisberg to victory.
AFC: Colts at Patriots Manning and Colts finally solve the New England puzzle.
NFC: Rams at Eagles Philly's second string D did fairly well in Week 16, let's see how the Rams do against the 1st team now.. and will they even show up considering half the team hates Mad Mike Martz?
NFC: Packers at Falcons End of the Favre era.. he's just plain horrible on turf, and that's just where Vick excels (running the ball, at least).
Conference Championships
AFC: Colts at Steelers Manning will only be able to defeat one 3-4 defense during the playoffs. Pittsburgh's offense is a little better than the Pats' as well.
NFC: Falcons at Eagles Vick's inability to throw the ball + fast Philly D that can neutralize Vick's running ability = surprisingly easy victory for what seems like most of the NFC Pro Bowl team.
Super Bowl XXXIX
Eagles 27 Steelers 23 Don't believe the media, T.O. could play in the NFC Championship game if he wanted to.. he'll be at least 95% for the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl MVP - Donovan McNabb 3 TD passes (2 to Terrell Owens)
Side Note: If this prediction is true (and I'm usually wrong.. see my recent NCAA March Madness success.. or lack thereof), this will be the first Super Bowl in which both #1 seeds survive.

In all fairness, it wasn't really Peyton's fault. Overall he played well yesterday, numbers-wise, but none of his receivers could get open, and when they did they let the ball drop out of their hands. The snow definitely didn't help, and neither did the Pats far superior defense. Though I'm pissed beyond belief that they lost (and that they lost in the manner they did), I'm going to try and remember the fun I had during the regular season. Then I am going to put a gun against my head and pull the trigger. ![[Frown]](frown.gif)
