Message From CopyrightInfringement_Warning836@KaZaA

WARNING:

It appears that you are offering copyrighted music to others from your computer. While we appreciate your love of music, please be aware that sharing copyrighted music on the Internet without permission from the copyright owner is illegal. Victims of this process are the artists, songwriters and musicians who create the music and the other talented individuals who are involved in bringing you the music.

More than 40,000 Canadians work hard producing and supporting the music you appear to enjoy, including producers, engineers, retailers, music publishers, distributors, manufacturers, record companies, concert promoters and broadcasters.

When you break the law, you risk legal penalties. There is a simple way to avoid that risk: Don't distribute music to others on a file-sharing system like this. For further information, please go to www.cria.ca.

According to my upload log, that user only downloaded one song from me.

I considering replying with a "WARNING" of my own, accusing them of spamming me and threatening legal action. Thoughts?

She told The Associated Press she first realized her son was mentally ill in 1996 when he killed her oldest child, a 25-year-old woman who suffered from cerebral palsy, by beating her with a dumbbell.

It would probably work better to say something more about how the music industry is more of a crook than anything that you do, etc. If they even read what you send them, some legal thisthat wont interest them as much as turning the tables and showing why they're the one's to blame.

I haven't felt the need to download any songs for a while, since I can't think of anything I want. Been filling up my hard drive with movies and stuff, rather, with bittorrent...

I was jacking movies off bittorent too... for about a week. That's how long it took Universal to hit me up with an email (via my cable company) threatening legal action unless I deleted stuff. I was scared. So no more bittorent.

Hahaha...

They can't tell if you've deleted it or not after you close the torrent. Though to be honest, I'm surprised they got your email. So if you're worried about it, just close the torrent after you're done.

No, they can't tell if I deleted it or not, and I didn't... but if I were to continue they would damn well have the same legal ability to sue the shit out of me that the RIAA has, and quite frankly even the .00000001% risk of it ain't worth it.

WARNING:

It appears that you are sending unsolicited messages (a.k.a. "spam") to others from your computer. While we appreciate your love of KaZaA, please be aware that sending unrequested messages on the Internet without permission of the recipient is illegal. Victims of this process are the Internet service providers, technicians, and loveable geeks who provide the capital and service the machinery in order to bring you this interconnectivity.

More than (insert some number I just made up here) KaZaAkhstanians work hard producing and supporting the mindless a/s/l pick-ups, peer-to-peer networks, and hard-core pornography you appear to enjoy, including blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah everyone knows that it's wrong but none of them give a crap.

When you break the law, you risk having inane messages sent to you by some legal hack who wouldn't recognize bad PR if he filed a copyright infringement suit against it. There is a simple way to avoid that risk: Face the fact that your industry is dying, quit whining about it, and get a real job. For further information, please go to www.goat.cx.
