I'm an unfeeling, murdering monster when I play games like this and kill people because I have no remorse for the life of ones and zeros - I'm sorry.
Is it the players who cant tell reality from fiction, or is it the journalists?

Child Pornography, Cock Fighting, and Dwarf Throwing are not banned because they are awful things that make people think bad thoughts, they are banned because: Child Pornography exploits the minor, Cock Fighting is inhumane to animals, Dwarf Tossing is injurious to the Dwarves that participate. Of the three, dwarf tossing should clearly not be illegal, cock fighting is dubious, and only kiddie porn stands on totally reasonable ground in being outlawed.
Additionally, child pornography that does not feature actual children (say, the written word, or drawings) is legal. Just as cock fighting that involves no roosters (say, on a computer) is legal, etc.
This is a truly shitty article. Like, it took effort to be this shitty, because it doesn't come for free.
