stupid addicting game where i die in like five minutes ARG
can't get a hero over level ten because i die in some stupid way each time, usually to poison or because i'll make the mistake of stepping out of town and get mauled by a panther/bear/etc.

It helps to put 49 quests in the beginning. It's a little more difficult, and gives the RNG to screw you over with crazy stupid quests, but you'll have more chances to get nice stuff as prizes, and they're usually good exp gainers.
Fun Fact: Throwing Potions of Poison is a cheap way to do damage early in the game. Some monsters will resist, though.
