Ahaha...like I really do homework that often. I'm in college and I only spend about 1-2 hours studying and it's not even studying. It's homework that's due that day that I'm getting done in the time I have before classes. [Big Grin]

Same as Miko here, although I don't get much HW period. I get it done during my classes. Especially my math one, as I have two hours with a pakistani guy that talks with a lisp. Mr. Doust scares me. *shivver*

Set an idle message for AIM, turn off the sound, and don't look at the CPU until you reach a checkpoint that you set for yourself. Getting distracted by my laptop extends my homework time by a few hours or so. @_@

Yeah, 7 hours in one day. Such is the nature of NYU.

College teachers give a lot more than reading assignments. Essays and math problems, for example, which are the bulk of my work. And that doesn't even count any homework I get in my music classes.

Statistically this poll is the best one I’ve ever posted.

Then high school results weren’t shocking, no one gives a shit about highschool.

The college results either show that 8 of you are burn outs and will fail college or you don’t need to study.

And the grad school results prove that 4 people go to grad school or higher.

Most important, since the stats weren’t out of the ordinary and go along with the rest of American society, we can trust the results of polls that we post (that aren’t meant to be funny.)

The polls here will still be biased because most of the people that post here are smater than the average kid, and I'd say that the two most prominent races of the people here are white and Asian. Generally there is a 95% confidence level for these kinds of polls, but I'd say it's less than that in this case because of the representation.

We aren't all smart. Some of us might be dorks, but that’s not true for all of us.

If we do form some sort of sub-culture, then it would be best to see results from your sub culture rather than from a forum devoted to hippies.

I'm a smart person, but I've never had to study for a single test in my life. Call me a bastard, or whatever you wish, but that's just how it is for me.

And now I'm at one of the most difficult schools in the US, and I'm still succeeding without studying. Dunno how I do it, though.

wow. all of your personal recounts of high school make me fucking hate mine.

practically the whole place is overrun with chinks and the only thing on their minds are 95's, math contests (big shit, AMC, olympiad), science contests and anything else to fucking prove themselves. christ, it gets even worse when those gr 9 kiddies show up and fuck up the competition with their shitty j-pop and mandarin jabbering

Depends on the situation really.

Sometimes I find myself doing 8-10 hours a day (exam prep usually starting a month in advance), but more often than not I'll do fuck-all other than go to my lectures (making that four hours on a good day).
