This one time Sammy and me were at a fondue place and he dipped his beard right in the cheese! It was funny because he didn't look like much of a mastermind with melted cheese all over him. But then he got super serious. After a while, he said that he'd had a reverie in which he saw melted fat dripping off of a still-living victim in the wreckage of the WTC. He said that he'd never really thought of how much simple personal horror he'd created in the world that day. I felt really uncomfortable.

Then he slapped the table and started roaring with laughter! He was just putting me on!! Fuckin' binny.

It's weird how deep his laugh can get considering he's so tall and skinny.
