Very cool. The "Death of a Hero" scene...
It touched me in a way that if Loretta touched me in that way, I would say "oh yeah, that's the spot".

Also, nice art, Ferquin. You seem to be a lot better at pixel stuff than I am - can I recruit you for one of the games I'm "working on"? That is, it's still mostly conceptual, and pretty vague at that. I have several projects going on the back burner of my brain, and sometimes ideas migrate from one to the other. (At least the werewolves haven't gotten to the Mario game yet. Hey, there's an idea... Nah, wouldn't work. The werewolves need to be turn-based in order for the algorithm to work properly, so... I could make the Mario game turn-based! It would be like a cross between Super Mario World and Super Mario RPG! Er, wait a minute...)
I really have 3 or 4 "core" projects (A Starfox game, a MUD, an RPG, and a Mario game, any of which at a given time may or may not be massively multiplayer, depending on if I'm feeling social) and they tend to branch off on various tangents, some of which intersect - leading to things like the werewolves from the MUD (or was it the RPG?) getting into the Mario game. (Note: that thought was pre-recorded, but pretty typical of the way I design games.) In addition to those main games, I also have some unattached (though often very detailed) concepts, such as my system for thermodynamically accurate magic (which could be used for D&D, if you wanted to spend half the game punching numbers unto a calculator, or a computer game, if you wanted to bother creating a physics system that modeled things about as well as the Matrix does... But it IS a really cool system).
Uh, sorry for dragging this off topic.
Anyway, those Mushroom people need to sneak into the armory and take all the Kuribo's Shoes.
Did anyone else besides me notice that the sound when Yoshi runs in the first scene is the "P sound" from SMB3?
(Oh, crud. I just realized that it's 5 in the morning, I haven't slept yet, and I can't sleep in 'til noon like I usually do because it's a Saturday!)

Err... it sounds interesting, but I'm afraid I have too much on my plate at the moment and can't commit to any outside projects. I'm busy with a site redesign at the moment and am looking for a new job. Sorry, but I must decline your offer. Thank you for your consideration.

Wow, that was amazing. I almost cried in the "Death of a Hero" scene. Some of the stuff was unnecessary though, like how Yoshi splattered the Lakitu, and then crapped it out. I think that kinda ruined the whole Mario/Nintendo-esque of the video. Also, when Mario farted... wtf? But it was excellent, and I give it 9/10. Can't wait for the next one!
Also, Ferquin, that's a beautiful picture! If it were a little bigger, I'm sure we'd all use it as our desktop!

That flash movie rocked. It actually makes me a little teary eyed to see Mario die, I mean, that's like losin a best friend to have Mario die...
