Man, I've seen that link about six times in various disguises - it never made me sick.
Didn't care to watch it again, so out of curiosity, is it a shortened version? The ones I've seen really did last about a minute and a half, two minutes.
(Checking: It is the black and white zoom-in-on-the-head vid, right? The filename's the same...)

Meh, whatever. I can't do anything to prevent this shit from happpening so I'll just close my eyes and ears and pretend like it isn't there. Sad but true. I hope they got permission from the rape victim's family/relatives to include the video, though. Which they probably didn't.

It's the same one - I clicked, watched the first second. You never forget that guy's face once you've seen the whole clip.
I just watched it in black and white - probably better, you don't get the whole red red riding blood aspect then.

I saw the first Faces of Death video and it is a real documentary done by an actual doctor that deals with mortician stuff, and it was done in a professional manner because the guy has a real facination with death. It's not like it was done by the guys that do Jackass.

According to the link I supplied in the edit of my previous post, those things (rape, murder) were faked. Most of the other stuff was archive footage, but they added stuff (like with the suicide jumper: they added the shots of her lying on the ground). The cult ritual, the rape etc, was (according to the article) faked.
The animal slaughters were real, though. According to an in-depth review of the first volume, you never really get to see any horrifying scenes where a dog tears away the flesh from the spine of another dog. They fight a bit, the end.

urbanlegends.com talks about Faces of Death in a bit more depth - although based on the log they give, this particular clip isn't from the first video at least, which is what it talks about. It doesn't look as fakey as the article describes the other ones as being either...
The actual cutting and bloodiness wasn't nearly as grotesque as seeing/hearing the guy's reaction and imagining what must've been going through his head.

That's exactally what I was thinking. I mean, I had to stop after they showed his head being pulled away from his body, but him coughing and breathing heavily is what made it really fucked.
