I saw this one Japanese comedy program once. I think it was called "Laughing Dog". They spoofed The Ring. Quite entertaining.

Indeedy. I went and saw it with my cousin when he invited me to the theater and they wouldn't let us buy tickets for Jackass. After the movie ended, I was completely satisfied with the alternate choice.

Wait, people thought this was scary? =\ My friends and I laughed our asses off for almost the entire movie, save the ending, which was more cool then scary. I dunno, it just seemed to predictable, but then again, horror flicks aren't really my thing. We were also in Mr. E's conflict of not being able to get into Jackass. I wish we went to Jackass.

As with all scary movies, you have to allow yourself to be scared... if you're going in acting macho you can of course just sit there telling yourself it's only a movie and laugh. While this may make you look cool when other people say it was scary, you certainly don't enjoy the movie half as much...

I didn't like it. I thought there were too many plot holes, and the dialogue was as painful as any other horror movie. I'm still waiting for something better than the Sixth Sense.

What did you see as a plothole? I didn't see any probably because I've seen the ringu trilogy and this remake. If there is somthin that you feel is unexplained, feel free to ask. I am pretty sure I can explain it.

She had whacky evil psychic powers that she transferred to the tape when a video machine conveniently turned up right above her. In life her powers tended to be latent, but being chucked down the well pissed her off enough to use them to nasty ends. Her method of killing is basically pure terror.

She had psychic powers when she was alive. She could burn things and do stuff like those X-rays.

I think the man was about to kill her. Remeber the hook? She knew something was fishy but she didn't quite understand what was going on. She possibly could have sensed danger. Remeber when she first saw the movie and was scared and ran out? Maybe she knew something was not right. The man was obviously angry and didn't want to talk to her, perhaps she wanted more research and then come back. The man didn't even want to watch the movie, she knew something was wrong and she wanted to research more.

I'm going to have to go against my fanfaggot heritage and say that the American remake was indeed better than the original. For the record, I saw both Ring and Ring 2 on the same night, about half a year before the remake came out.

Even though I knew what was going to happen in the remake I was still pretty spooked by some of it. My only complaint with the remake is that the little kid isn't evil at all whereas in the original he could have beat the shit out of pretty much anyone.
