Becuase Luigi is damn cool, and there aren't many games starring him?

I bought it before it came out in the states- and I *knew* it wasn't great.
And I don't think it was selling very well at 50, as all the used stores had it for 20.

I'm a complete Nintendo fanboy, and even I won't make a claim like that. The PS2 alone has more stuff for it than the GCN has. You have the Final Fantasy series from 4 to 10 and Chrono Trigger. For as good as Metroid Prime and SSBM are, I highly doubt that they can compare to that. And I won't even begin mentioning that whole GTA, DMC, Kingdom Hearts, and DVD thing.

As far as I'm concerned, gaming is in a state of severe stagnation overall. Every system is responsible.
Nintendo have the old-school thing going, but they are assholes in business practices.
I simply haven't found a lot of PS2 games that jump out and scream "BUY ME BUY ME", although Timesplitters 2 is fun.
I don't know enough about XBox to judge. This guy thinks he does, though.

It's about time other consoles started getting cheap games. It always pissed me off that PS/PS2 games dropped to $20 seemingly within two months.

I know PS2 is a better system than GCN, but Metroid Prime and LoZ:WW are better quality games than any individual game on PS2 or Xbox. And no I'm not saying every game PS2 and Xbox suck.

LOFL. Only Chrono Trigger, the Devil May Cry series and a couple of FF games are quality. LOTR and Kingdom Heart come close. And the PS2 has been around for how long? GTA sux aSS BTW.

veloS: LOTR and Kingdom Heart come close.
Have you played these games? While LOTR may be a bit on the easy side, it still kicks ass. As for Kingdom Hearts, not only is it a good game, but it's Disney and Square. I highly doubt you coul go wrong with that combo.

Crash Bandicoot? Simpsons Road Rage? The Bouncer? Have you ever even played a video game? Most of the Tom Clancy stuff (pretty much everything barring Splinter Cell when it comes to consoles) is complete dogshit and shouldn't even be forced on prisoners in death row. I'm sorry Mick, but it's true. The Bouncer? Simpsons Road Rage? Crash Bandicoot? Those are some of the shittiest games available. Devil May Cry 2 isn't that great either. DMC was good, but a whole different team worked on DMC2 and many DMC fans felt alienated from the sequel.
