Oh shit yes!

Pokémon's going on a 10th anniversary mall tour!! And this could finally culminate in what I've been waiting a decade for - a Pokémon videogame tournament!! Fuck the TCG! The core videogames are finally getting their chance to officially shine in a real tournament and not a promo tour! Hopefully, like the TCG championships, it becomes an annual thing. If Pearl/Diamond becomes a hit and it's NWFC-compatible, coupled with the possible success of Pokémon Ranger, this could be a real Pokémon renaissance!

Could this be a chance to get a Mystic Ticket or Celebi? Maybe another Jirachi or Deoxys? Who knows? All's I know is I better see your asses at the Seattle stop on April 22nd! For once, it's at a much more accessible location (i.e. a major mall) than friggin' Seattle Center or one of the tiny, distant, hole-in-the-wall shopping malls up here.

The details are at Pokémon.com. See if the tour's coming to your town. With over twenty stops, you can't miss!

Funny, I've seen people bitching about the missing spots already.

Celebi is confirmed for the tour.

And I may have to get my passport updated.

Well, compared to previous Pokémon Rocks tours with only four or five stops, this is fantastic. I dunno. I guess if you're hardcore enough and can get transportation, great. If not, well... sorry I guess. I wish they could stop everywhere, but that isn't gonna happen.

I'm guessing you're up in Canadia?

The first stop is a mall located several miles south of where I live. As I recall, there hasn't been a major Pokemon event there since the Pokemon 2000 Stadium Tour. I was there for that. Brings back memories.

I'd be more excited if it meant something more than beating on barely teens.

Well, if it makes any difference, the videogame championships is broken into two groups - 12 and under, and all the rest. If anything, this encourages older players to get in on this since the kids will have their own bracket.

There were, in my opinion, some cute female Nintendo reps there.
