Is this place still alive? *pokes it with a stick* Seems there's a little twitch now and then.

Anyway, after a long time of not playing Pokémon, I suddenly decided to get my unfinished Crystal game out and start playing again. And I'm looking for a bit of information.

There was a website a long time ago that had some info that I found very useful, but now I've lost it, it's probably dead and gone, but if anyone has this info or knows where I could find it, I'd be very grateful.

Specifically, I'm looking for: Catch rates of all pokeballs, including the apricorn balls and which Pokémon they increase the changes of catching, and which status modifiers effect catching. Tameness rates and what increases and deceases tameness and by how much. How the scoring for the bug catching contest works, what is worth how many points. Any other bits of info would be helpful as well.

I know it's probably a long shot, but is that info still out there somewhere?

Wow, that is a while ago. Meowth would have all that information, but most of that info has been put down.

I believe all status effects (poison, sleep, paralysis, burn) increase catch rates.
If you have a pokemon that needs happiness to evolve, I suggest catching it with a friend ball. Battles increase happiness, as does items and haircuts.

The only other place you can check is gamefaqs. Try Donald's guide.

Woot! Thank you both, that was very helpful. I completely forgot about checking gamefaqs, cuz I'm dumb. I thought I had that Pokémon Research Page in my bookmarks, but apparently I lost it at some point.

Hmm, fast balls don't increase the chances of catching the legendary beasts? I thought they did. Well I guess I'll stick to Ultra Balls.

Yeah I know I'm lame still playing Crystal, but I don't care. XD
