Yeah, no kidding. Pretty lame ass if you ask me. However, I also think that maybe the Pokémon Center might be doing something too.

I actually preordered that stupid Emerald guide from the Pokémon Center, which was only worth it for the exclusive art and the wristband. The guide itself was decent, but the Nintendo Power one was once again the better guide. In any case, it surprised me at the time that The Pokémon Company was releasing a seperate guide on their own from the one that Nintendo Power made, and looking at the staff, they had different people making each guide.

Anyway, it's looking more and more like The Pokémon Center is distancing themselves a little from NOA's activities so perhaps if they do some special pre-order through the PokéCenter, maybe they'll have a better premium. They're still the only place you can buy BOX.

On the other hand, I know from experience that NOA can make great skins. I have a really cool one for my DS with Shigeru Miyamoto's autograph all over it. Fit like a glove on my DS. I expect the Pokémon one for my GameCube to look just as good. I guess the preorder premium isn't all that bad.
