In Emerald you can now pass down natures in breeding, and having a poke with Magma Armor or Flame Body in your party reduced the number of steps you need to take to hatch an egg by half. Must. Own. Emerald. Now!

Daaaaa-yaaammn! They need to bring this thing stateside at once! Emerald is fast becoming the most anticipated Pokémon game ever.

But still, man. Lots of cool extras. I reiterate, if they do something this cool for a third version of FR/LG, I could die happy.

I've say it's a tad bit more than a rehash of Ruby/Sapphire. Emerald's got a lot for the serious player, what with the berries which lower effort values (undo bad training, which I plan to do on my Blaziken so I don't have to breed one and train it from level five), as well as controlling a Pokemon's nature through breeding, and hatching time able to be cut in half, and the Legendary Top Breeder is nice as someone to give a basic idea of a Pokemon's IVs (although you can just berry away all its Effort Values and calculate the IVs), and once you max out your Trainer Card's four stars, healing your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center takes a little less time (as the nurse gives the yes/no question first-thing)... And Gym Leaders can apparently be rebattled in 2VS2 battles. I haven't gotten the National Dex yet, but the data I extracted lists them as Double Battles on rematches. Now if only there's be a wide-range event to give out the Sea Chart with which to go get Mew...

Yes, I would trade away both my dumb Jirachi and a Deoxys for a Mew...

A Mew can ACTUALLY be used on a team [Razz]

Actually, I'm not that pleased about this anymore. Not because it isn't a great feature, which it is, but because it wasn't implemented earlier. I picked up my Ruby today and continued my Eevee breeding. Two boxes in and I still haven't got the nature I want. If this was emerald they'd all be the right nature and would have hatched in half the time. I could then cherry pick them for their IVs. [EDIT: and maybe I could even *think* about using Hidden Power now!]

I think I might hold off my breeding plans until Emerald gets released outside of Japan. I guess if breeding was fun in the first place I wouldn't be too bothered. Well figuring out chains and stuff is fun but riding back and forth for hours certainly isn't.

Magmar, Camerupt, Numel, Slugma...

So yeah, can this effect be layered? Hatching an Eevee in 2000 steps = [Smile]

Deal with it. They're fixing minor mistakes(though not as bad as the "Berry glitch") made in R/S. Plus the warm egg thing was probably an afterthought.

I attached an everstone to my Timid Vaporeon in my Ruby game yesterday and continued breeding Eevees (you know, for a laugh). Almost shit my pants when the first baby was Timid. Of course none of the rest were. [Frown]

woashi I brought out Meowth

...Though being not a serious enough player to care about spending dozens of hours tweaking IVs and natures in the first place, still sounds like a rehash to me (and probably still would even if I did care). Oh well. Is everyone in the Pokemon community really that acclimatized to geting the same game over and over for half a decade that they're actually excited about this? Jeez, it puts sports games to shame, and they're the masters of the art. Something's amiss when a removed line of dialogue is a notable change...

Does this improve the chance of breeding a shiny child from a shiny parent?
