I think the basic gist is that the game cannot hurt you, but you can hurt the AI. But, you cannot keep any stolen items from trainers' Pokémon, just wild ones. I think in link battles your items are returned to you after the battle is over.

Question: Can moves learned from tutors in FR/LG be passed on to offspring like TMs? Can they be passed on to offspring if they were bred in R/S? I remember trying to breed Body Slam into a Rhyhorn in the past but it didn't work. Are learned moves only good in FR/LG?

You could steal items from the in-game trainers in RS and keep them, like the Silverpowder and Black Belt. It probably holds true in FRLG as well.

Could you possibly list who's got what? I'd sure like to get a Blackbelt.

Oh, and I found that if you check Giovanni's spot after you beat him, there's a Macho Brace there.

Anybody know any other places to check for special hidden items? Found the Leftovers and the Soothe Bell. Anybody know where I can get a Magnet?

Just wondering - do you get anything special for completing the Fame Checker? I've got nearly all of them. Is it worth finishing?

Oh, and isn't that a hell of a revelation about the G/S rival?

I think every Fighting-type Pokémon that a Black Belt, Battle Girl, or Crusk Kin sibling uses holds a Black belt.

You get nothing special for completing the Fame Checker, but if you haven't tried pressing start on a completed entry, you can get a message from that person.

No, G/S Rival. "Silver".

**SPOILER**

code:
Scientist Gideon: "You... You're not GIOVANNI's kid, are you?

"No, that can't be right. GIOVANNI's kid has red hair."

**END SPOILER**

Not actually confirmed that's who it is, but he seems to be the most likely candidate.

I've managed to play through both versions and have 147 Pokémon in my Kanto Pokédex. All that remains is to obtain Squirtle, and I will restart Leaf Green to do exactly that... after I corner the market in Rocket Game Corner Clefairys kekeke.

Also, in FireRed I encountered a Shiny Venonat in the Safari Zone while down to my last Safari Ball.... which failed. =(

ahhh man that sucks, sorry to hear...

I've heard a similar "sad" story for Gold/Silver.... it's B4 you have the pokedex and you have no pokeballs, a d00d found a shiny and could do nothing [Frown]

I'm trying to catch a wild Lapras in that cave on Four Island. Does anybody know whether you have to fish for it or Surf around or (unlikely) walk around in the cave? All's I know you is that you can get it in that area where you beat up the Rockets with Lorelei.

Yeah, I know you get a Lapras from Silph, but I want to see if I can snag a female one for breeding.

You do have to Surf around to catch that Lapras. It took me roughly an hour or so to find it, as there's a 1% chance of encountering it. I suggest carrying a Sweet Scenter in order to expedite the process somewhat. A Net Ball or two wouldn't hurt.

Your best chance of getting a female Lapras was at Silph, but there's a 50% chance of encountering one in the wild. Good luck! [Smile]

To claim mastery is to imply that there is nothing else to learn. Thus, I shall never be a Pokemon Master, since there's *always* something to learn.

For best resluts, I recommend carrying a L35 lead and using Repels so you don't have the urge to commit Tentacool genocide.

Hee hee, I said "resluts". It's such a cool word. Resluts.

You can get a Mr. Mime there? I thought you had to trade for it. Last I checked, all they had were Abras, Porygons, Scyther/Pinsir, and Clefairies.

I just completed my Natioanl Pokédex. 381 Seen, 381 Caught. Now I need to train a team to go up Mt. Battle and get me a Ho-oh.
