...I was free and clear of Pokemon.
I'd packed away Stadium 2, and reverently consigned both GBCs (as well as Chromatics and Metallics) to a drawer. For months, I was free to not worry about raising my critters, getting points from Buena, etc. I could just go play Metroid Fusion or Super Mario Advance 2. Barring that, I could always play Capcom vs SNK 2.
Then, on a whim, I bought Ruby.
Well, I suppose there are worse things to be hooked on.
The moral of this story? You can take away the game, but the instincts are still there.

Sometimes I completely burn out from the tedium of breeding and training so I stay away for a month or so. Eventually, I get back into the groove and it's back to hardcore Pokémon-ing. Like now.
