Blah. Curselax will suck anyway.

Gengar and Missy are now immune to ground attacks, Skarm still owns it, fighting attacks got a whole lot better, and special can now be boosted.

Heracross + Build up + Kawarareri = dead Snorlax

Curse matters little when so many things learn Build Up.

Bleh, you do not even need combo, build-up Cross owns Lax with megahorn [Razz] .

That, and Lax is now going to be less powerful, since he was relied upon as a special attack absorber. Enlighten definately draws away from this.

However, some pokemon who learn enlighten cannot learn GS/RBY TMs (like Kazam and his elemental punches), so it balances.

Lax is no where near dead, but is not quite as alive.

Kazam breeds for Elemental punches.

And, for most improved old Pokemon, it's got to be Rhydon. Swords Dance and Megahorn (!) with his Lightning Rod characteristic making him a shoe-in for 2 v 2 battling (Get yourself a Gyarados or any of the new Water/Flyings with Surf, and a Rhydon with Earthquake, and you're hitting both opponents with two attacks, and Gyarados won't take Electric attacks at all)

Curselax won't be too far off the running for most dangerous stats alterer though, even if there's more ways to counter him.

I could really imagine Snorlax reverting into some sort of support role - his stats still pan out, make a decent BP target, especially from that top-speed Bug/Flying (It can pass Swords Dance, Agility, and it naturally gets faster each turn - be interesting if that stayed over in the Baton Passing)

Actually, the death of Curselax can be celebrated. Snorlax isn't in R/S until we can trade with GSC.

Yeah, bastardising GSC and R/S is a great way to get both games on the go, right? Jeez, just stick to having 202 new Pokemon for the mean while, instead of trying to weed a metagame from 386...

But 202 < 251...or did the laws of mathematics change? [Embarrassed]

How can 202 pokemon bring more fun than 386, never mind 251?

Yeah, the laws of Poke-mathematics changed. Now you can't get your max stats, you've got personalitys to alter stats, you've got characteristics and moves that will let your suckily statted Pokemons viable, and there's a very clear cut class of legendary Pokemon - all the better to implement Sucky Cup without.
