I was just wondering whether people have helped other players out in ways other than, say, "check out Azure Heights" or "use this moveset?"
Personally, I've bought two copies of Crystal and proceeded to upload the appropriate missing critters (Mew, Mewtwo, and the legendary birds being levels 100, 100, and 50, respectively). Add in an ungodly number of Poke Balls of various types and a good cash infusion, and you've got a nice little chunk of time invested in a cartridge already...especially if you count the time for hatching eggs.
(I should point out that this was done for some really good friends of mine, and I'm not terribly likely to do this to J. Random Pokemon Player.)
Anybody else do anything similar?

I've traded rare, well trained monsters for my friends' crap Pokemon.
Afterwards, I donated most of my Pokemon battle winnings to The Church of Pikachu.

I have cloned and traded shinies with other people, and they have traded with me. This "shiny network" has given me about 10 shinies, not counting those I have caught myself.

I gave my friend's little brother my level 100 Exeggutor and Raichu with Sleep Powder/Double-Edge/Psychic/Mega Drain and Thunderbolt/Thunderwave/Surf/Flash respectively.
He later deleted them in order to start a new game.
