When you are ten, you recieve your pokemon license. Under that age, you wouldn't be allowed to play. Unfortunately, it will probably never happen because Nintendo has a huge little kid market. They can't say goodbye to the cash they get from them. And it says in just about every official handbook that you have to be ten. They're contradicting themselves. Who agrees?

Me, sort of. I have met intelligent five-year-olds with SOME idea of strategy, though. So you should have to take a test to see if you can handle this game (example questions: What does double team do? What is a fire-type weak to? Is Koffing your god?)

That is a very good idea, Artie Cuno. But what if their older brother or sister takes the test for them, and then give it back? Or what if a web site posted the answers? It would be easily bypassable.

I say we beat them with very large sticks. Then, we shall proceed to pillage their homes and sodomize their pets.

Or, we can just ignore them because they are little whiny brats with no sense of strategy.

I say we sneak into the NOA headquartersand fix the game so we control them all! Or at least be able to make people being stupid on the game have their game blow up. <gameboy goes up in flames> Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Meh, it's just a suggestion.

Simple. We'll make the test you get random-like they pulled the questions out of a hat. For instance, one test would be:
1. What is a fire-type weak to?
2. What type attack is Sonicboom?
3. Is Koffing your god?
Etc...
And another could be:
1. What type Pokemon is Koffing?
2. A Charizard and a Raichu are fighting. They are equal in level. Who will win?
3. What Normal-type Pokemon does not evolve in Red, Blue or Yellow, but does evolve in Gold, Silver and Crystal?
Etc.
And there would be three or four hundred questions, selected randomly from a database guarded by Koffings and Oddishes, and the test is taken away after it has been done and graded by an employee of the store (who has studied Azure Heights ) and if it is passed (say there are 10 questions and over five were gotten right) then the kid gets his Pokemon game and everybody's happy.
*takes a deep breath*

Whee. Long winded sentences are fun

*little half bow* Thank you XD. And "1337" means "leet" or "elite." So you could say the 1337 four instead of the elite four.

Oh yeah...like Nintendo of America, the only blighters who'd be able to implement this would...jeez, way to cut out at least half your sales, and therefore profit. It's called capitalism, not supporting a commuinty they don't even know exists / care about.

Maybe pay for the game and only get it if you pass the test? That would increase their profit by not only test sales, but also by people having to buy previous games to find the answers.

Yeah, we could call it gambling.

No, it would kill the product. There's no reason anyone should have to jump through some flaming hoops just to buy a video game they want to play, and I seriously doubt anyone would. It's a terrible way to do business.

Somewhere that Nintendo has never had any tours near, "Teh 1337 grotto of nakedness" and a cave, apparently.

If you feel that the story is wrong, complain to Nintendo, loudly and vehemently. Drop dungbombs in their e-mail if they don't reply. [Wink]

But honestly,Artie's idea has some merit. However,I suggest putting it in the game,so that
you don't have to make kids do the test to get their game. They get their game, but they can't do anything to play it until they've taken a test. Then they get a password allowing them the access to their game every time they enter. That way,if the kid passes the test, only they can play the game. I know it's flawed because someone else could do the test, but that's how it is with these things - many ten-year olds hack in porn sites. [Razz]

I think that alot of us can agree on this:

What stinks is that
1: Nintendo doesn't do any/many tours for Pokémon anymore, and even if they do, they never come close enough for us to go...

2: In everywhere but Japan and few other places, your opponent must be physically in the same room with you to battle.

Anyway, this is my theory:
Nintendo has been super secretive about Pokémon GBA and Pokémon for Gamecube. The Gamecube has the ability for a modem to be added to it... my hope is that the next step in Pokémon will have connectivity in it that will actually MAKE IT TO AMERICA!

Nitendo would be dumb not to do this. They could charge like 5 cents for each battle you engage in online, and, they'd make a gigantic profit. What I'd like is for there to be pretty much a Pokémon Stadium for Gamecube where you battle online against other humans in a 3D stadium, that's what I WANT [Smile]

And, there'd be ladder competitions and like a scoreboard with the top 100 players and ocassional prizes and rare Pokémon distubitions, in other words, it would just be incredible, and, if Nintendo has any brains they will do this... The Gamecube has the power to do this... I hope they take advantage of that...
