I was thinking. Why dose nintendo keep upcoming projects so secret. I guess I can understand if their not sure if they are or arn't genna compleat it, but thinks like pokemon advance and other cool stuff that every one knows their genna make, why cant they give us any more info about it?

Dose any one know a reason why it whould profit them to do so? anyway, w/e.

Because then people like you will post posts like this on messageboards like these and people will read them and start to wonder and then they will buy a subscription to nintendo power.

One dude asked somethin to Nintendo like why Pokemon wasnt at one of their shows (like E3 or somethin) and they said something like "it's secret" or "we dont want to show it till it's done" somethin like that...

could just be a lie though

I know that they say they arent showing Mario Sunshine because they dont want other companies to steal their idea or somethin like that... but, take their answers with 80349345 gallons of salt...

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

I also think it's quite positive. I hate playing good games, when you already know the story and how they end. (hint: Metal Gear Solid: sons of liberty, an excellent example of why companies shouldn't reveal anything about the game before it's released)

Releasing too much information is always a bad thing. I mean if you found out that the english version of pokemon advance was exactly like the gold version but with a few more pokemon whose stats are the equivalent to sunkerns, would you buy it?

Of course not.

That was a terrible example (nintendo would never sink so low, they prefer wooper's stats ). But advance will have features that they would rather have you find out.

Nintendo released G/S in japanese a full year before they releasded it in English. As a result, many Pokefans turned to japanese roms instead of buying carts. A full three months before US release, there were english 100% translations. And people dissected the japanese roms, to get the stats of pokemon, effects of moves, etc. before the US release. As a result, there was nothing left to discover when US release rolled around. And yet we have people begging for them to repeat that by releasing Advance info early.

The original PSX controllers had no analog controls. What do you think gave them the sudden inspiration to add them?
