Pokemon seems to be winding down since now all the new young kids have latched on to Harry Potter as the new 'craze' First it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then The Simpsons and then Pokemon and now this.Obviously Nintendo needs a new game to make Pokemon popular again, but simply making a new Pokemon handheld game isn't enough. Nor would a glorified Pokemon Stadium version for Gamecube be any good either. Players want a 3D world in which they can interact with and catch their Pokemon. They also want to be able to interact with other players over the internet. Multiplayer is the key word here. Most likely, the Pokemon game for Gamecube will be compatible for the GBA, so you can be pretty sure that any changes made to the battle system will stop at the GBA. Perhaps new stats will be added, giving each pokemon a different accuracy rating? Resistance to poisons? It would make the game more interesting... making each pokemon a viable choice instead of the good-okay-bad ratings we put them into. The main difference between GBA and Gamecube versions is probably going to be the graphics. But we still don't know if the new Pokemon game for Gamecube will be a Stadium remake or a game within itself... I'm sure most fans would prefer the latter. From a marketing point of view adding more Pokemon would make more money, but it could also flood the market with too many Pokemon 300-352?? By the way, I'm wondering why no-one ever thought of making a Battle based Pokemon MUD? Most of the MUD's I've come across focus on role-playing instead of collecting Pokemon, they don't even use the proper battle formulae! I thought a MUD would be an effective way of being able to capture and raise Pokemon over the net since we have all the information we need to make an exact replica of the game. People already battle in chat rooms so adding the catching and raising of their Pokemon would be more rewarding than just typing in the stats you want. I'm just surprised nobody has ever tried it, or maybe they have an nintendo shut them down??? Anyway that's the end of my loooong rant. P.S. Do accounts get deleted if inactive for awhile? Cause I had an account here a looooong time ago...

Has anyone played one of the real-time D&D computer games? Can you explain how they changed it from turn-based to real-time? I heard there's an explanation in the back of one of the instruction booklets.

each round in the D&D game is 6 seconds (I think), so basically it's pretty easy to convert it.
