WHy the hell won't the man selling Rage candy bars let me pass? I beat the Ice Gym, Did everything at the lake of Rage, got the red scale... but this moron keeps saying "Sorry, sold out of Rage candybars. Leave me alone Kiddo." and then won't let me exit East out of the city. I think I must need to have to save the radio tower in GOlden ROd, but team rocket won't take it over yet, and there's a guy blocking my way up to talk to the manager. Man, for me the most fun part of pokemon surely isn't the one player game...

You need to have beaten every gym you've come across, as well as save the Radio Tower from TR. And you HAVE chased Team Rocket out of their secret hideout in the Ice Gym Town, right?

I did chase Team rocket out of the secret hideout, and beat all the gyms. But how do I get Team ROcket to take over the Radio TOwer (so I can save it)?

The problem is that Professor Elm never called me after I got The Glacier Badge, Like he's suppposed to, to inform me that the ROckets are taking over the radio station in Golden ROd City (because they arn't). I've entered in GS codes so I can re-fight the Mahogany trainer, but after I exit the gym, professor Elm still doesn't call.

I even entered a GS code to MAKE the rockets attack GOlden rod Radio station, which they do, but the guy guarding the stairs is still there, so It won't let me past the second floor!

Anybody have any help to offer?

hmm, it might be the radio card or maybe its that togapi egg, has it hatched yet. that one's a long shot but who knows.

Being able to call and receive calls is automatic. The radio card lets you hear the radio shows in the game.

Prof. Elm calls you asking if you've listened to the radio, because they're talking about Team Rocket after you leave the gym where you earn the seventh badge (If you listen to the radio, a Team Rocket member is talking about their takeover of the radio station and asks for Giovanni to return to Team Rocket).

Yeah the radio remains unchanged.

If I could just get that guy on the second floor to move, everything would be alright.

Why not just try to get the radio card? To go Goldenrod and speak with the clerks on the first floor to get it. It's free. Also try getting the map card if TR doesn't attack after that.

So, you've gotten seven badges, six HMs, the radio card, hatched the Togepei egg, have shown Togepei to Prof. Elm, etc.?

Then I have no idea what to do......
Backtrack through the game and speak with the major characters to make sure you've done what you need to do?

hmm. What about the "hidden" entrance in the Goldenrod Basement? I think that might be it, but it's been a while.

Using a gameshark to beat the 1 player game would be gay.

I ended up trading all of my level 100 pokemon over to my girlfriend's game, restarting my game, and then beating the one player game (13 hours total--beating Johto's elite four, thank you very much-- starting out with completely new pokemon) and then trading all 100+ level 100 pokemon from my girlfriend's cart back to mine (that sucked).
