One year from now Pokémon will release for the GBA in the states, according to Nintendo. So I ask you: What would you like to see in Pokémon Advance and/or Pokémon Stadium for GameCube (if there is one)? What other changes to the game would you like? What non-RPG Pokémon games should there be?<edit> As of 4-2-2001, here are the answers to the first question (regarding what you would like to see in Pokémon Advance and/or Pokémon Stadium GameCube): - New storyline with non-linear plot and real villains
- Actual battle interaction
- Multi-Trainer battle
- Some species becoming extinct
- The addition of the Orange League
- Mini-game battles
- Holdable toy items
- No more buying Pokémon from Game Corner
- At least 3 infinitely rechallengeable trainers with constantly changing teams, eventually reaching 6-on-6 L100 battles
- Multiple Trainer House opponents
- Rebalance the Poison, Fighting, Flying, Grass, and Fire types
- More badges, including a Round 2 Mode
- Abolishment of the nonreplaceable HM concept
- Game's phone working with Cell Phone Adapter
- All gendered Pokémon being able to be both male and female (exception: Nidorans)
- TM Store, where you can also buy RBYGSC TMs
- More towns without gyms
- More battle animations
- GBA Version of Cerulean/Silver Cave should contain higher-level Pokémon
- Better AI that knows when to switch
- Get Mew without a Nintendo Mew Giveaway
- Rematches against gym leaders
- Attack graphics differ from Pokémon to Pokémon
- More emotional attacks
- Start your own gym and work your way to the Pokémon League's badge requirements
- Attack development: the more you use it, the more the Pokémon is familiar with it, the more accurate the attack is
- Interact with the habitat and see the Pokémon
- More skill involved with catching Pokémon
- A gryphon Pokémon
- Net-link Cable compatibility
- Illegal Pokémon drug market
- Team Rocket using weapons
- Choose your opponent's team for a practive battle
- Pokémon stealing
- Environment interaction, including battle terrain
- Create your own character sprite
- More interaction on the Magnet Train
- Play Ash's N64
- Cameos from anime characters
- All buildings fully public
- 3D World
- Swimming Pools
- Personalities

- Be able to let Pokémon out of Pokéballs (perhaps for fresh air)
- More Dark, Steel, Ghost, and Dragon Pokémon, and a pure Flying, Dragon, and Ice Pokémon, as well as a POI/STL Pokémon
- The ability to overcome inherent type weaknesses
- Game has date tracking, and seasonal graphics that go with it, as well as holiday and birthday tracking (Also, able to get a birthday gift with the use of a Cell Phone Adapter)
- Randomized weather
- Gender-based graphics
- Practice battles where you split your team to do a 3-on-3 battle
- Pokémon lifespans
- Pokémon tribes and interaction with such tribes

- Releasing the game everywhere all at once
- A shovel key item
- More starter choice
- 3 Legendary Dragons, none of which are psychic

- Expand the evolution ladder for Lickitung, Muk and Seaking
- One new type, the Light type
- At least 25 new Pokémon with more decent type combinations
- Make Ghost attacks special-based and Dragon attacks physical-based
- TM-ize the best move of each type in GS
- A more complex breeding system
- More out-of-battle functions

Repeat twice more for pairing with the other two threesomes, and the winning threesome is decided by being the threesome on the most number of winning teams in the battles.

Simple changes:New storyline (like the change from Chromatics to Metallics) Actual interaction in battle. I want to see Snorlax use BodySlam on Pikachu. Some species need to become extinct to make room for new ones. No more new types. Multiple trainer battle. quote: What non-RPG Pokémon games should there be?

Eh...only suggestions I'd have would be;1. No more screwing around with the freaking Game Corner for rare Pokemon; pet shop type stores would actually kick ass, in which it would allow you to buy low level, basic forms of stuff for cheap, and it'd also allow for the creation of things like attachable toy items to help those bloody happiness evolutions. 2. Making it an RPG with choices in what happens wouldn't be all that bad, either. Take some of the linearness out of it. Multiple endings would be hella cool...and actually give the entire game a smidge of replay value, other than constantly battling the E4 to train. 3. Two or three trainers who you can fight an unlimited number of times, and not only does your stuff grow, but so does theirs. Eventually, instant 6-v-6 L100 battles, the true test of a team...eh? Or, being able to select from multiple opponents in the Holo Trainer House. Or something that'll let you adjust the level of what you're fighting without a GS, for training purposes. 4. Give Poison types a reason to live. I think that's everything... -Rain Dance ------------------ Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Han Solo are sitting around playing a not-so-friently game of M:TG. Vader Fireballs Solo for the kill, Fett counters, and says "He's no good to me dead." -- A thought when I was really bored.

1) One or two new types to even out Fighting, Fire, and Machamp and Houndoom's domination on the game, as well as Poison.2) Lots more badges, so we don't get bored. (Imagines Johto, Kanto, Orange leagues with R-2 modes) 3) All TM's should be replaceable... :-| 4) Trainers get stronger every time they're beaten. (And you can challenge every trainer as many times as you like.) 5) Game's phone works with the Mobile Phone Adapter. ------------------ Current water gym team: Zapdos, Scizor, Kabutops, Omastar, Quagsire, Jolteon

No, but seriously, There need to be some big changes.1.) NO NEW POKEMON!(A penguin would be nice, tho) We have too many already, more than I can remember half the time! 2.) Game should be overall, a lot more realistic. In the Anime(yes, I know, I know), a pokemon isn't good with an attack right of it learns it...It becomes more experianced and familiar with it, and I think that'd be cool in the GB/Advance/whatever game. 3.) You should intreact with the habitat and actually see the pokemon. Not have pokemon "fight" you every three steps. Pokemon should be hard(er) to catch. Thatz all for now. ------------------ LOBSTER STICKS TO MAGNET!

You guys have some great ideas! *sighs* If only we could hope that Nintendo would have simmilar good ideas. But we might as well wish Pokemon were real. Chances are pretty simmilar I bet.I think there should be a gryphon pokemon, one that looks like a raven, and yes, defenetly a penguin pokemon, although, there are too many already... And I really do wish my poor Arbok hand a reason to live. Oh! I forgot, what would be really cool is, a special link cable that you could hook up to your computer and battle and trade with people online! ------------------ ~ Crystal the Anime cat girl ~ "On a long enough time line, the survival rate of everyone drops to zero." --"Jack" Fight Club [This message has been edited by CrystalMeth (edited 02-24-2001).]

1. Environment interaction - Say, you battle near a beach. This would give some Pokemon types different advantages and disadvantages. For example, Water types would fare better due to the ocean being near by.2. Attacks - Attacks can actually become more powerful by using an attack multiple times. It also becomes more accurate. This would be because a Pokemon would become more familiar with the move. 3. Animation - More individual for the fighting Pokemon. 4. Characters - You can create your own personal character, including hair, clothes, etc. So, you could be a Cool Trainer, a Swimmer, a Rocket, etc. 5. Type Alterations - Make Grass and Poison Pokemon WORTH using. Change/add types to TOTALLY balance out the system. 6. Gym - You can own your own Gym, create your own badge, etc. ------------------ "The Devil has no inner child. It's sad really" - Lewis, The Drew Carey Show "We are not crazy! Okay, a huge quote archive of posts people have put up in a topic similar to this at another board; quote: I've got a whole list: (1)The ability to explore and meet peeps on the magnet train. You would have the option to sit next to who you want. (2)Cameos from anime characters. (3)The ability to watch (pokemon related)TV in people's houses play Ash's N64 (4)The whole world(Johto and Kanto)in 3D. (5)Every single building in the game is open to the public. (6)Every inch of every building is explorable. (7)Swimming pools.
quote: Hmm, well, the game isn't very realistic. You never feed them, tend to their needs, they never tire of battling, don't require sleep or anything a creature requires. I'd say add a life to them. Give them personalities, life spans, an apetite! Make them living creatures and not little slaves that you can whip around. It gives the game a challenge. Also, instead of keeping them in Pokeballs let them run around with you, I'd like to have my team follow me around. Also, stats. Why can't you maxx them out? If they train long enough you should be able to, I don't like how they stop at some withering low stats... The Elite 4 needs to get better as well. Same level day in day out....also, your enemy. Same level again and again...Raise them! Mmm, that's about it, maybe have the game be in a N64 format, 3D would be interesting! But gamebow is convinient
quote: More moves, more Ghosts, more Steels, more Darks, and more Dragons. If I remember correctly, there are only 4 ghosts and dragons, and only 6 each of Steel and Dark types. Also, the ability to overcome weaknesses... for example, if my Dragonite gets hit with Ice attacks often enough without fainting, it could build up a resistance to Ice and not take the entire x4 damage from it! On second thought... maybe only the ability to overcome double weaknesses like that... Ex:Water/Flying vs Electric...
quote: That is why we have pink shiney butterfrees. Although a variation of markings would be nice, maybe even for males and females, but I agree with the seasons thing. We should have it divided with three main seasons:Winter Map Change - There is snow on the ground and trees. Summer (spring is about the same thing) Map Change - Normal as what we have right now. Fall Map Change - Leaves and trees that have pretty colors. Then there can be different condiditions that can happen depending on the season: Normal When - Always unless one of the following is active. Effect - None Rain Looks Like On Map - Rain falling Random When - Anytime Effect - It has the effect of Rain Dance through the battle, unless you change it with Sunny Day or Sandstorm, or if it is a link battle. If the effect of another attack goes away it goes to the "normal condition". Snow Looks Like On Map - Snow falling Random When - Winter Effect - Ice attacks do 50% more, unless changed with Sunny Day, Rain Dance, or Sandstorm. If the effect of another attack goes away it goes to the "normal condition". Sunny Day Looks Like On Map - Everything seems brighter Random When - Summer It has the effect of Sunny Day unless changed with Rain Dance or Sandstorm. If the effect of another attack goes away it goes to the "normal condition". Each type of weather except normal has a 5% chance of happening for the whole day. I can't find any flaws in this idea and it would probably make gameplay even more life-like. Just like with day, depending on the condition different Pokémon can come out. To make it fair, all the same Pokémon stay in the same places year round, but the percents change and some extras may appear depending on the season and condition. To bad Nintendo never takes ideas from fans even though this idea would definately make people like it even more...
quote: Anyway, I'll state my ideals. My idea would be that of a calendar (yes, I know it was mentioned before.) But have things like Holidays and so forth that are based on the Anime and real life.In otherwords, in the USA, it'd celebrate Thankgiving on the actual day, and while other countries would have it celebrated on their own corresponding days. For the Anime based holidays, things like Princess Day (is that what it's called?) and Pokémon Day. And how about a birthday? Wouldn't it be nice to get a rare item or Pokémon on a day as momentous as that? Now, to give slight explanation on how this could be possible, the Poké Gear will ask for your location (country, state, city, etc.) and adds the holidays that corresponds, any Anime Holidays are preprogrammed without questions asked. And for the people who don't celebrate things like Christmas, the holidays that are "assumed" and added because of where you live, are removable and able to be reaplied. Your birthday could simply be asked by the Prof. or has to programmed into the Poké Gear. Well, there's my idea, perhaps I'll throw another one up tomorrow. ---Gandalf the Wizard
quote: Very good ideas but....The Ruins idea: ????? If they are puzzle pieces, you pick them up as key items and sooner or later, the Pack will become full! My Idea: Oh, the Day of Week hasn't been set yet. What day is it? Is it Sunday? What Year is it? What Month is it? What Day is it? Is it Jan 20th 2001? Have you heard of the EVENT CARD? You can progam events in and it will inform you when it is coming. Oh dear. The people at the repair shop have reset the Events. I'll put them back in with thid BACKUP CARD. ...... There! quote: Seeing as they've already done different images for different versions for the Pokémon, I think that next step for that could be different images based on gender. Imagine seeing a female Arbok and a male Arbok having different designs based on their gender, or perhaps a female Mr.Mime looking a bit more feminine, while male Mr.Mime finally have muscles , even if only slightly ^_^--Meowth346
quote: You could split your team and battle at the pokemon center against each other. And if one side wins alot the other side will get unhappier. And when you battle you could encourage your pokemon. Like: "Your doing great!" "Keep it up!" Or if your mean: "You call THAT an attack!" "My Pidgey could beat you!"And when you shout stuff they get happy and their attacks are a bit stronger, or maybe they stop listening.
quote:
I believe there should be lifespans, in the wild. Say that a Trainers Pokemon can't die becuase of the bond between Trainer and Pokemon, or that Pokeballs prevent it. This is sort of expanding on my tribes/groups of Pokemon in the wild. eg, A Charizard swarm on Cinnabar Island Volcano. The leader would be the strongest Charizard, and if s/he died, all the Charizard would battle each other until a winner or leader was established. This would leave most of them very weak and you could either; a) Be mean and catch them all and have them despise you b) Give them Potions and stuff and gain they're trust and catch happy strong content Charizards and be able to take Charmander eggs from the tribe and raise them as your own.

We already have a penguin Pokemon (Delibird), and Sentret/Furret are kinda like squirrels...As for balancing Poison, it should be super-effective against Water and Bug. Also, either lose the weakness to Ground or make them SE against Fighting. And the most important thing... I want to option to become an evil trainer and join Team Rocket! Oh, and a massively-multiplayer online Pokemon game with all of the above would be nice... ------------------ "He looks a bit like a Chinese." -- Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, introducing a Filipino MP to a group of Chinese law students [This message has been edited by White Cat (edited 02-25-2001).]

MewtwoSama: New Storyline Rain Dance: Multiple endings OrientalNoodle: A real storyline Flareon: Create your own gym Porygone: Create your own gym I'd like that, I'd like multiple storylines, I'd like an ending that you can get when you black out and are out of money... As for create your own gym, see my create your own cup comment below...MewtwoSama: Actual interaction in battle OrientalNoodle: REAL battle animation Flareon: Attack graphics are different depending on the Pokémon Porygone: More individual animation Of course that would be in Pokémon Stadium GameCube, and I imagine that you plug in your GBA as a GameCube controller so that the move list shows up on your GBA screen, so you get total privacy with your moves. I wouldn't know for the GBA RPGs themselves... MewtwoSama: Some species need to become extinct Jman: No New Pokémon I don't think Nintendo would eliminate Pokémon, although that would be a great idea..., but they should introduce 4 Pokémon and 4 Attacks to round out the 1-byte list so you don't get Glitch Pokémon. MewtwoSama: No more new types oporaca: One or two new types to even out FGT, FIR, and Machamp/Houndoom I am in indifference, although I found Houndoom easy to beat... Rain Dance: Give Poison types a reason to live oporaca: ...as well as Poison Cesar: Make POI SE vs DRK OrientalNoodle: Skill catching Porygone: Make GRA and POI worth using White Cat: POI SE vs WAT, BUG, FGT, and lose the weakness vs GRO My thoughts exactly, but I thought POI was already SE against Dark, Bug, and Fighting, and Water SE vs Poison..., but in all cases, the battle system needs to and probably will be reworked. MewtwoSama: Multiple trainer battle Porygone: Environment Interaction White Cat: Online MP Pokémon battles I, too, would like to see various different battle formats, from minigame battles to Texas Tornado Rules (where everyone is in at the same time), Multi-trainer FFAs, field changes (Space Battle!), Trainer Teams, switching/bench restrictions, and more stuff in that category. Definitely would make Pokémon Stadium GameCube a must-buy for the ultimate in MP Pokémon experience (after all, it WOULD take advantage of that cable modem there...) I'd like to see a "create your own Cup" mode for Pokémon Stadium GameCube, and a REAL Pokémon League complete with Ranking Points and a 9-Round single elimination system like the anime. Rolken: Orange League oporaca: Lots more badges, with R2 modes Rain Dance: 2 or 3 Unlimited-Fight Trainers oporaca: Trainers get stonger every time they're beaten and you can challenge every trainer as many times as you like OrientalNoodle: A SKILLED trainer Flareon: Battle gym leaders again abz1986: Mini-Stadium It's sorta there in GS, but I think every trainer should be infinitely fightable with a conscious AI. Trainers standing in the middle of a road wouldn't make sense, so I'd like to see them move out of their spots. This also goes for gym Leaders and E4, too. I'd like a mini-game League too. Rain Dance: No more screwing around with Game Corner for rare Pokémon Since when were they rare? Rain Dance: Pet Shops and Toy Items It would make the game more kid-friendly.. oporaca: All TMs should be replaceable doralee23: TM store! Agreed. There should be no more HMs. oporaca: Game's phone works with the MPA Yes, it doesn't make sense in Crystal. doralee23: All pokémon should have genders How do you tell a Male Porygon and a Female Porygon apart? Please explain. doralee23: Lots more "inbetween towns"! I wish that the versions of Pokémon Advance would have different MAPS! This would make each game more challenging in its won right, but if that's not possible, this would be the next best thing. OrientalNoodle: A place where there are HARD Pokémon I'd like the Pokémon Advance version of Silver Cave/Cerulean Cave be L100 Pokémon, too. Flareon: Mew without a tour I could care less. Flareon: More emotions Agreed. Could crying increase water power? Angry increase Dark? Jman: Pokémon being familiar with attacks Porygone: Using an attack multiple times would make the attack more powerful I agree completely, and this would make the real distinction between learning Fire Blast from TM and learning Fire Blast from Level or breeding, and having the disadvantage fade out from extensive use. Jman: Interact with the habitat COOL! CrystalMeth: GB to computer cable Too easy to use it to rip the ROM and post it on the internet..., and the MPA does some of the functions it does already. abz1986: TR uses weapons So should you and everyone else... abz1986: Illegal Pokémon market Tghost: Dope-and-steal That's nice... adds a little more fun to the game... Porygone: Create your own personal character White Cat: Join Team Rocket I'd like that. Other comments from Tghost's quotes from Pokémon Forever: Magnet Train exploration This would make the Magnet train slower... Cameos from anime characters ... only in Minigames. Play Ash's N64 ...or SNES, or Virtual Boy, or Pokémon Fragging Game on the PC... 3D World Only in Stadium GameCube... Every building open to the public, all fully explorable The game would be pointless this way Tend to Pokémon Fine by me... Have the option of not keeping them in Pokéballs Great Ideas. Max out stats A Pokémon Gene Lab to edit DVs! No more "Max Stat" DQs! Ability to overcome weaknesses I'd like that. It's more realistic that way... Seasons and weather It's cool, but how does it rain in the winter? Holidays Date itself would be cool to have, but I would instead have a "create a holiday" feature, and make a downside to it: Pokémarts are closed and there is a No-Catch Policy, and the only way to overrule that is being a member of TR (break in and steal). Practice scrimmage battles A quick way to get SE and exp for all six (you're NOT going to faint them are you?), and it should be limited to PokéCenters only, and you could end the battle at will. Pokémon Tribes I'd like that, and the ability to help wild Pokémon get themselves up as a sign of brotherhood and friendship. More Mystery Gifts!I'm in agreement.

Oh, I would LOVE to be able to decide the gender of my character! And I've always wanted to have a Pokemon BESIDES that stupid yellow rat follow me around. It take up way too much space I think if you're entire team followed you around, but wouldn't it be cool if you could pick one Pokemon to follow you around? That would be so cute...I love the idea of having to actualy take care of your pokemon, feed them and stuff. And this could have effect on them in battle, like, maybe if they're too hungry their defence goes down, or if they're too tired their atack goes down, something like that, or maybe even if you feed them too much there speed goes down, cuz they get fat! heh... ------------------ ~ Crystal the Anime cat girl ~ "On a long enough time line, the survival rate of everyone drops to zero." --"Jack" Fight Club [This message has been edited by CrystalMeth (edited 02-26-2001).]

1) 8 Pokemon in a party, 6 move slots. Make the game more complicated, come up with great move sets, yadda yadda...2) More pure ghosts, Dragons, and a pure Steel Pokemon. Pure Flying and Ice as well. 3) I'd like to see another world, bump up the gyms to 24. After beating this, you'd need four badges to get to the Elite 4, who have level 55-65 Pokemon like in the chromatics. After beating another 12 gyms (including Gary in Viridian Gym with his L70 team), you'd open up the Master's Cave, with Pokemon that grow with you. ------------------ *runs away in a Nick-like fashion* The most intimidated newb in this board's history

Increasing the number of pokes in a team and/or the amount of moves they have would really mess up the balance in battling. The point of having limited options is to see how well you can adapt or improvise in different situations. Otherwise it wouldn't be much fun if someone pulls out a mewtwo with amnesia, barrier, substitute, recover, psychic, submission, swords dance, swift, etc.. Okay so thats stretching it a bit but the point remains. What would be nice is if your pokemon don't "forget" moves but rather they can only have 4 moves "ready" at a certain time. So as your poke learns new attacks, you can swap them around to test different combos, and lets you customize for different fights without a gameshark. ------------------ "Hoot!" - Hedwig

Equiping TM's like weapons would be cool. You wouldn't lose it from using it, but if you have only one or so of a certain TM you wouldn't be able to use it on everyone you'd like to, forcing you to improvise. Also, nowadays nobody ever seems to battle much until their game is maxed out to level 100 and all their pokes have all of the best moves. Can't blame em, the other person could have 40 more levels than you, giving you no chance. There should be a system where both people have their poke's levels evened out, but have each pokemon's level randomly determined between a margin. Eg. both trainer's pokemon are changed so that they are between level's 50-60, and each pokemon will randomly pick a level that is between those numbers. That would keep things interesting, a starmie may or may not be faster than alakazam. Of course, to keep things from getting hairy, you make it so that its not possible to have 2 level 60's drawn.------------------ If there is true evil in this world, it lies in the heart of Mankind... -Opening quote in Tales of Phantasia Woohoo! I really stand behind my two main ideas, which, if they aren't in the GBA version of the RPGs, at least they for sure will make it into Stadium Gamecube:Create your own battle format You can set the rules your way, with variables like how many Pokémon are in at a time, the max bench limit, the level limit, the height/weight limit, the SE limit, the sleep/freeze duration limit, and the species limit. You could also set switching rules and various "popular" clauses (sleep, etc). Then save it and transfer it to another PKGBA game. Then kick some ass with it. Seriously, I find this idea to be more effective than Pokegod's idea, but there is some validity in his argument. The second idea is but upon the first, but it's basically... Create your own Cup Make your own Pokémon league to win. You can make it as easy or as challenging as you like. You can customize the road to the championship, such as if you have to take on a four-team endurace match (ie. 24-on-6 with no items), or a 9-round single elimination tourney (ie. anime-style), or even a one-on-one match, all with your own custom-saved rules, or even to the point where no effort is required (ie. Karp fainting contest, you win when you beat the record). It would be a nice alternative to facing 5 trainers with pack-recharge over and over again. My only beef with having more Pokémon and more types, or more items, for that matter, is when you exceed the one-byte marker, there are going to be a LOT more glitch Pokémon, and a lot more real ones too. I'd say that there should not be more than 254 Pokémon, 254 attacks, and 254 items, and ideally, but now it isn't so (not even with the chromatics), 14 types (not including "Typeless"). PS. Yavarice's idea is quite neat, really, as it would hard-code the move list (ie. at L5 you would be offered all the moves up to L5, plus any TMs in a memory array), and make the Pokémon internal structure different (an array to control which TMs are extensions to the move list). Trading between GBA/GS/RBY would also posess no problem, since the 4 activated moves become the moveset. It's a great idea, really.

-naturally learned attacks should be more accurate/effective than TMs-another thing that could be fun:more a pokemon use an attack, more this attack become powerful. Not deadly/OHKO for any attack, just a bonus like STAB when this thing is at MAX. -working resistance against weaknesses (waterproof sandslash) -a legendary pure dragon -other types of starters -maybe 2 more types, but what? (we have demon, why not angelic? ) -a persistant world (like ultima online) -other ways to gain money -a shovel,to dig like in zelda GB,and maybe find items or fossils ------------------ teehee! just a thought: THE MASTER could be a paranoid schizophrenic stalker hacker serial killer. =P boy are you in trouble! -spunman about TheMaster [This message has been edited by D-Teclis (edited 03-06-2001).]

I thought of this yesterday.Weather should be a part of the next Pokémon games. Some days it is, say, rainy, some snowy, some sunny, etc. Certain Pokémon only come out when it is snowy, rainy, etc. For example, Pokémon like Jynx and Articuno would only come out when it is snowy, Pokémon like Growlithe and Vulpix only come out when it is sunny, etc. I know it would be a lot of work to program, and it would be a huge pain in the arse to catch 'em all, but it's an idea. Also, there really should be tougher AI. I mean, I whooped Red in Gold with Pokémon slightly above level 40. You should actually have to think when fighting the Elite Four, use strategy, etc. Not only will this make it more fun for the experienced players, but it will show newbies that there is more to battling than brute force. Hmm... what else... new Pokémon types are to be expected, more moves are to be expected, new strategies... blah blah blah. There's my two cents. ------------------ "Never go to a party, get drunk, and pass out; you'll wake up with a sore butt and an empty wallet."

I think it's pretty obvious that wolf just wants to see the Trainer bathe. Anyhoo, POISON NEEDS HELP!!! Of course, that's been said enough already. But it really does. Eh. It'd be cool if they made a new Elemental Triangle for the starters. I mean, Grass/Poison, Water, Fire/Flying; Grass, Water, Fire: It's pretty burned up. Also, make the three legendaries of the game Dragons! How cool would that be? An Electric, fire, and ice dragon, or something like that. Now that would be cool. "The Three Legendary Dragons". Yeeeeaaah... but they probably won't. And lastly, no more sup'ed up Psychs!!! Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Celebie... how much more can we take? It'd be really spiffy if the 'new M2' was a Poison type. Man, that would be rockin'! ------------------ "Let that be a lesson to ya, sweetie. Never love anything." "Even you?" "Especially me." - Homer and Lisa; The Simpsons

Here are some things I hope they do:1) Give Lickitung an evolution 2) Give Seaking an evolution 3) Allow inorganic Pokemon to breed with each other (c'mon, they could recombinate pieces into a new Pokemon, right?) 4) Make a completely non-linear plot; its pretty much like a wide open MUD, and you decide where to go when you feel like it (and are capable of doing such) 5) Some new Pokemon would be nice, but sure as Hel not 100 new ones! Fifty or twenty-five or something would be a'ight. Then, there are three things, one of which they MUST do: 1) Make Poison not suck! Give it somethin', people! 2) Make the new M2 Pokemon Poison typed and ultimate. 3) Make a new type, most likely the Light type. Make a slew of new Pokemon this type, including the new M2 Pokemon. And then, make it hurt by Poison. Boo yah. ------------------ Visit Reality's End, the Home Page of Phantasy and the R.E. League "I'm sorry. Something like this? This is the Light type as I designed it in a piece of fanfiction.Attacks are strong against Psychic, Dark, and Water Attacks are weak against Grass and Poison Defends Water, Psychic Invulnerable to Dark, Fighting Weak to Poison, Grass, Flying Grass and Flying are two other shafted types. To expand on the TM idea: Maybe the best move of each element could be a TM. I'd certainly pay good money to get Drill Peck, a decent Bug move, and Ice Beam as TM moves. ------------------ "I've decided to stop eating. What I'd like to see in Pokemon Advance:1 - Actual type balance(poison needs some help) 2 - A good ghost type(like one with an incredible attack stat) 3 - An actual pokemon league! After beating the Elite 4, you should be able to enter a realistic "league" full of pre-programmed individual trainers, with their own preferences and battle tactics. And they should be GOOD trainers, too. At least with the AI you see in Stadium. I'd also expect full stat-tracking, such as a W-L record, and maybe even a Most Valuable Pokemon award. 4 - Online play - This one's obvious. 5 - New TM-like moves - I think it'd be cool if you had to use your pokemon's moves to solve puzzles and stuff. Like, if you had to use your Venusaur's vine whip to get across a gap(a la Link's hookshot). This could add tons of variety to the sometimes-monotonous gameplay. 6 - New weather effects(someone already mentioned this) 7 - Complex breeding - Instead of having the baby pokemon be completely like it's mother, I think it'd be cool if you could make up totally new type and move combinations. Like, you breed a water and a fire type together, you get a water/fire type. Of course there would have to be things programmed in to prevent cheapness, and these cross-breeds probably wouldn't be allowed in tourneys, but it'd still be pretty damn cool. 8 - A REAL STORYLINE, DAMMIT. Well, that's pretty much it for now. I've got more ideas, but the poor little GBA probably wouldn't be able to handle them. *hopes for a GameCube-specific Pokemon title* ------------------

Actually, I've always thought a Light type would be cool.I also want more Dragons. I also want poison beefed up. Odd that lots of people thought the same. I can't complain much about the metallics, though. Things aren't nearly as silly as chromatic land... EEVEE is crying and can't attack! If I saw this I'd mail NCL a punch in the face.

1. Fix Poison, Grass, and Ghost.2. A new type that balances out the above types. Futhermore, the new type should be Super Effective against Fighting-types. 3. A non-linear plot with evil villians. 4. Infinite random trainers, which use Pokémon of similar statistics. 5. Realistic Pokémon battles. If these creatures are fighting to a near-death status, I'd expect them to act differently with 1 HP then with full HP. 6. More switch-oriented moves (Pursuit, Spikes, Roar, and Whirlwind). Switching is a major part of Pokémon, so a wise trainer should be able to manipulate their opponent's switching. 7. Balance out the Super Legendaries. 8. Hidden Power clause. ------------------

1. Make speed more important. If your speed is twice your opponents you attack twice as much. This would make paralisis more important than ever and would help ground.2. Being poisoned is more damaging. slows your opponent down and maybey prevents recovery moves working. 3. pokemon that levitate (geodude, koffing, etc.) are unaffected by ground moves. 4. Un-evolved pokemon are cute and opponents will not want to hurt them. ------------------ "Come together like a foot in a shoe; only this time I think I stuck my foot in my mouth." -Green Day, Walking Alone
