It'll be here by September.

How it'll use the Mobile Adaptor is up in the air.

Will it take advantage of GBA?
Ugh, more things to learn...

Well it'll be fun... and it's a nice change for all those female pokemon trainers with that new girl... Not to forget those nifty moving battle screens!!! ^_^ Probably use the net somehow... Like with Dream Cast...

As you all know, Crystal is a GBC game, so it won't take advantage of the GBA's shoulder buttons. As for the cell phone adapter, that will be very hard, and if it is implemented, it would greatly raise phone bills since little kids will call their best friends over the phone line to do a simple link battle (or a trade), possibly tying up the phone line for other more important uses...

AFAIK, there will be a Pokémon for GBA, but it won't be out until one year after the release of Crystal.

I highly doubt it, kelv... millions of people use the Internet, and it hasn't raised phone bills.

Dreamcast is one word too.

I've had this theory that NoA could use the GBA and the Gamecube to go online (the Gamecube can go online, right?). Though you'd have to shell out a lot of bucks for both systems.

I'm hoping that the English release will plug into a computer's serial port or something like that, so we can battle over the Net...

Yeah, I think it would be a good idea if they try to copy the X-Box's proposed idea of connecting to a cable modem to play over the net, which would = minimal lag. But I don't have a cable modem.

They'd have to break the one-byte identifier limit, since 2^8 only allows 256 Pokemon, and that was likely the reason for only having 100 new ones in G/S. I remember reading once that they were disappointed that they had to cut out a lot of evolutions for stuff like Aipom, so maybe without a limit they'll be prompted to add as many as 250.

Or not. ^_^

Well, we can hope. ^_^

I personally would like to see not so many new evolutions as more interesting brand new pokés. Also, the world needs to be made a lot larger and more interesting... the lack of anything but a poké center, a shop and a few elite trainers at Indigo annoys me... it should be more like and have an atmosphere more like that as the Indigo from the anime.

But when the memory in the cart gets bigger, can't it hold more pokémon?</stupid question mode>

I'm still waiting for that kick-ass pokémon game in realtime 3D they'll make for GC... (No, this is not something confirmed, just a fantasy of mine.)

Lark: Not necessarily... keep in mind that doubling the resolution of the pics quadruples the size, and GBA will certainly have bigger ones to match the larger screen resolution. Hopefully, the characters will be 32 square too. On the other hand, the GBA carts max out at N64 sizes, and that's before the system's even released! ^_^

That was my wish for G/S... but... blegh. I thought there should be the whole four-court elimination system, but we're still stuck with just the Elite Four too.

Here are my ideas for the Pokémon Advance (name two versions here):

Different maps
I mean, one would have Johto-Kanto, another could have the Orange Islands.

More than 4 moves
The extra space in the GBA cart would allow it...

More boxes!
We all want that...

No more HMs!
I want that...

Pokémon Gene Lab
For Experts only... lets you edit DVs... which means that the debate about Max Stats will FINALLY end...

Return of various elements of the game
Safari Zone, Giovanni, Electric traps in Surge's Gym...

The Complete, Unabridged Unown Mystery!
I'd like to see that...

More than one RIVAL, and more than 3 starters!
Adds more to the game...

A reworked battle system
OHKO still doesn't work great in it...

A real 9-round Pokémon League Tournament, including watching the other matches, with variable fields, including ones with bench size limit
Just like the anime...

A challenge system Championship
You win the championship from a computer trainer, and if you lose a battle, the trainer you lost against gets a Championship, and it will be a while before you can challenge again...

Mini-Game League
AKA: Orange Island League, which means that there should be more than one league.

And one thing that I would like for Stadium Gamecube... "Make your own Cup" with customizable rules and eligibility requirements. That would be nice.

Umm... I'm sure that a 28.8 modem could handle some simple move chosing.
