Hey, I just noticed that Kabutops is fucking awesome.

Is he playable in RBY? G/S?

I suppose the question is moot, given that he's got to be better than my Psyduck, but, y'know...just thought I'd ask.

Hmmm...in G/S it might matter. Any better than Quagsire? I like my Quagsire.

I am by no means an expert on these sort of things, but he does take 4* damage from grass... 6* if delivered from a grass poké...

OTOH, he can learn Blizzard (Ice beam too?), which should be effective against any plant that tries to mess with him.

Well it seems Kabutops it's not resistant to electric attacks being part Rock not Ground... Yet still shares the 4x grass weakness as Quagsire... So I'd go with ol' Quaggie... Besides waitin for any prehistoric pokemon's egg to hatch is murder... the longest in the game next to Snorlax and Lapras... *shudder*

Kabutops is playable in G/S, now that he learns an attack based move he can get STAB on. However, you'll need to juggle him between RBY and GS to get all his moves. Perhaps something along the lines of Hydro Pump, Swords Dance, Ancientpower and a normal move like Slash, Return or Body Slam would work. Utterly dead to anything with grass moves, though, unless he's faster.

Kabutops just looks so fucking awesome. You gotta use him. I used him as one of my 3 back at the 99 Stadium Tour.

Hmmm...well, he's got better stats than Psyduck all-around, so other than the quad weakness problem, even with almost the same moveset, he'd generally be better.

He's a better Surfer than the Duck, it seems.

Also, since it seems that every time I win a prize in Stadium, it's a Kabuto, I could probably use one of those guys.

It might be nice to have another slightly fast-ish Pokemon on my team...

He's looking a little on the Hitmonlee side in the defensive department, tho. Oh well...

Maybe I'll raise one up in Silver and just see how he does compared to Quagsire.

I like Pokemon that could do chores around the house...Quagsire looks like he could do the dishes, but Kabutops could do the landscaping...
