I really hate looking for Pokemon in trees in Silver. Anyone here know any specific areas where I can look for Heracross or Pineco? I really need those two, and it's really bugging me that I can't find them (yes, I know they're rare, but I just want to know where to start looking)....

you can get heracross on that route that leads to new bark town... only some trees have it though I think. Pinco was found by me in that route between ghost gym city(I'm very bad with names) and the bug catching contest park.

Pineco can be found in Ilex Forest, but bring something with Sleep Powder since they like to use Selfdestruct. Heracross can be found near Mount Morter.

All right, I have them both now. Now I just need to know where I can find a Remoraid. I've searched practically every body of water in the game and haven't seen one yet...

You can get Remoraid in the lake on Route 44 between Mahogony Town and the Ice Path. It helps if you chat with the Fisher there and get his number though, as Remoraid are kinda rare.
