I was just perusing my Pokedex in Silver, and on a lark, looked up the entry for Mr. Mime's nest. It indicated that Mr. Mime could be found just south of Pallet Town. Well, being the curious type, I surfed down to the only patch of grass on that route only to be inundated with Tangelas (hey, more experience for my Farfetch'd and Typhlosion). My question is...*are* there actually wild Mr. Mimes (and no jokes about the critter's social life, thank you very much) in G/S, or do I have to pony up the money to buy one?

Yes, they can be found in that patch of grass. The funny thing is, most of them are female! I did catch a male one, but it took a while.

Yes...they can be found south of Pallet. I ran into a female Mr. Mime the second I got there. I caught it...and started to look for a male. Next thing I know I have a Male and Female Mr. Mime at the breeding center, "Getting it on".

No surprise, really. It's original name is Barriered (Bariyaado), a name that is not gender specific. True, it's funny to someone who only knows it by the name "Mr.Mime", but it's not odd to countries that don't call it by a gender specific name.
