Can anyone tell me where I might find a wild Staryu in G/S? I've been looking and looking...with no sucess. Help?

Fish using a Good Rod around the lighthouse area. At least that's how I caught mine.

I've gotten some by fishing in Cerulean City Gym, as well as outside the breeding center was, using a Good Rod, of course. And remember: It's a night only Pokemon.

No, it's not. I caught mine during the daytime. Same thing with Houndour. People keep saying it's a night-only Pokémon, but I caught it during the daytime!

Alright, all day/night arguments aside, I can catch Staryu with simply the Good Rod in those areas? I don't need the famed Super Rod? I'll check around in those mentioned later. As a matter of fact, there's a girl swimming down past the city across the sea that even says Staryu come out at night. Thanks...

Thses night only pokemon are rarer int he day but they are there. I Have cuaght three houndoors in the day!
