Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver. The games we've been preparing for since their release in Japan (almost a year). We've planned strategies and movesets. We've come up with people like the Death Starmie and the Clear Skies/Sunny Day Houndoom (to name a couple). There is one question I have to offer, however. Have we prepared for actually training our G/S death machines?In R/B/Y, we had fantastic tools for training, including:
- The Missingno/item multiplier trick (probably one of the most important, due to the fact most of us go through a lot of Master Balls, Rare Candies, vitamins, and healing items)
- The box trick (as important as the Missingno trick, a great loophole to exploit for training high-level wild Pokemon and RC-ed guys)
- Dodrio mode (4x speed rocks in training
)
- Gameshark (although I hate to admit it
)
Now, when G/S comes along, we get:
No confirmed/reliable item multiplier trick (hard for us non-sharkies to have to catch all of our Pokemon legitimately and find some way to make sense of their stats when they're at low wild levels) The box trick? (I put a ? because I haven't found confirmation it still works) No Dodrio Mode (not yet, at least) Gameshark (although I hate to admit it, this is still around )Until a new item multiplier trick and confirmation of the box trick's condition come around, us non-sharkies (including me) are at a STRONG disadvantage in G/S training. I'm joining on the Houndoom bandwagon, but the only level to find a wild Houndour is 15. 15. I know a similar topic may have been done before. Oh well . I would like your opinion on all of this. Please feel free to respond at your own leisure and volition. Good day. quote: Disclamer: The views of this poster may not be necessarily the views of everyone else at these boards, or all people playing G/S for that matter.
