My Pokemon Yellow cartridge died on me.
First, a little background:
Sunday, I tried my hand at the Time Capsule, transferring Blastoise from my Yellow game for a Paras. Everything seemed fine after I reset Yellow, and I promptly turned it off.
(What did I do with Blastoise? I got a Squirtle out of him.)
Cut to later in the afternoon. I headed off to a local comic shop to clone the level 5 Mew that I kept on Yellow. I turned on the game to get it out of the box...only to find that there's no "CONTINUE" option.
Crud. Well, there's 138 hours down the drain.
Mind you, I *had* cloned from the cartridge before...only it'd been 3 months since I've done so. *sigh*
Thankfully, there *are* survivors. Mew has been level 51 on my Red game and 100 on my Blue game. My heavy hitters, Mewtwo, Dragonite, Lapras, and Chansey are all on my Blue game. I guess it was a good thing that I never got around to trading them back.
Well, hindsight is 20/20, as they say...I've since gotten myself a Mega Memory Card, just in case.
Sorry to rant like this,

To claim mastery is to imply that there is nothing else to learn. Thus, I shall never be a Pokemon Master, since there's *always* something to learn.
