My Alakazam:

Attack: 198
Defense: 188
Speed: 338
Special: 368
HP: 313

Moves: Seismic Toss, Recover, Psychic, Double Team (4th move constantly under question.)

On my permenent squad, always use it, got its stats up to max by hard training, love killing mewtwo's with it, love killing pathetic alakazams with it, love DT'ing to the max so I can take on 6 pokemon!

Alakazam may have an amazing special and great use of Special attacks, but his defense is small enough to be wasted by 2 of any physical attacks. Try a different psyichic pokemon with a bit higher defense.

why try a different one??he is the perfect alterative for mewtwo if you need a powerful psycic, he basicall yas a chance agains any pokmon so why would you take him out, and replace him?? he is basically there to psycic, get by pysical move, spycic, kill, next pokemon, psycic, physical move, dead, but if you mix in a reflect and a few twaves and recovers in there he can have great staying power, along w/ recover, he is actually one of the best if you have a spare turn to add reflect in there, unless you find a slasher.

Kinesis

Psychic

Thunder Wave

Grep? *laughs* Alakazam can Recover for an eternity and easily run it out of Psychic PP. Anything else 'Kazam gets a T-Wave off of, which is half the battle against a Mewtwo.
