Stop arguing about it. If people don't want it to be used don't use it. If some people want to use it badly deal with them using it. Just stop at 9,049,372,374,584 flame wars. :^) Really, why argue about it? If you lose to it, or don't find it fair to fight, just don't fight Mewtwo useres. If you are pro Mewtwo just ignore the anti-Mewtwo people. Simple, easy, and flamewar free :^).

I use Mewtwo, and I don't care if you think he's cheap or not. He'll always be on my team (except in situations where Mewtwo is banned for some stupid reason), including on G/S, not for stats, but because I like him as a pokemon. So there!

Ugh I just hated that translated name when I heard it too! Anyone else? I heard somewhere that they were going to name it Phoenix, and was disappointed that they didn't. I'll probably give that name for its nickname instead.

The name sounds like crap too. Before they released it's official name, I called it "Hoo-ow," since I didn't know how to pronounce Houou or anything. But that name is gayer than the dubbed title for the new movie. No wait, no its not.

Mewtwo with wings isn't mauled by two Thunders from Raikou (who can slaughter both Lugia and Houou).

In Gold/Silver, there's no such thing as a cheap Pokémon. Houou, Lugia and Mewtwo can team together all they want and I wouldn't care.

Not only did they add balance, they fixed the problems with Amnesia, high-special Pokémon, Double Team/Minimize... Ah, I love Gold/Silver. ^.^

Well get this everyone who simply hates Mewtwo, which I don't:

Mewtwo gets totally SCREWED over in G/S.
Okay? so it's no longer the powerhouse one there, though probably has the best stats.
Reason:
Amnesia only increases Special DEFENSE!!!

Which I think is totally dumb. Cuz that hurts all the tobybros and whatevers.
I'm gonna hate G/S.

Kurobatto and Neitio, as well as all the other types Fighting's double ineffective on, will stop Agility/Endure/Resurrection dead. Heck, a friggin' Butterfree will be enough to crush it.

... Which doesn't mean it's not insanely useful, 'cause that couldn't be further from the truth. ^.^

I'm so sorry you feel that way! Mewtwo STILL has great Stats and if you like him you can still use him effectively in the G/S. With the rise of fighting pokemon, he'd be great to bring them down. You just won't be able to sweep whole teams with Mewtwo, but making the game balanced is a GOOD thing. I don't know about slowbros. Surely they won't be nearly as effective as they used to be, but I would imagine you could still get some use out of him if played wisely.

Some of the moves are totally screwed over - even the really weak ones...

Like my T-wave/Wrap/Hyper beam combo is dead in the water now as wrap doesn't stop your enemy attacking - also it makes Dratinis even harder to train - especially when you consider that you get them later in the game now too.
