Me, personally, would probably wait for the US version, unless you just aren't satisfied with an emulator substitute. I'm playing Gold on emulator, and it looks great. However, unless you read Japanese (which I don't), I would suggest waiting for the stateside release. If you don't want to shell out the cash, find a ROM on the internet (don't ask me where) to tide you over until the US version comes out.The US and Japanese versions will probably be incompatible, so if you want to link battle with the US version comes out, you will have to do all your training on the US version. It's up to you, though. ------------------

DON'T GET THE ROM, IT'S SOFTWARE PIRACY. BUY THE GAME. I HVAE IT AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE 40 OR FIFTY DOLLARS IT COST ME.------------------

You can search around online (places like buyrite1.com), or get'em from a store..but be SURE you are buying legitimate nintendo products, instead of cheap Hong Kong Krap (unless you don't care, Hong Kong stuff is cheaper). For a Nintendo one:
-The plastic case on the inside is the same is the old ones, not a hard to open squarish thing. -The carts are two tone, front and back. -The labels are NOT printed out on what is obviously a bubblejet. -There is a sturdy plastic structure to prevent the box from losing shape on the inside. ------------------

Before you go reaming me for using a ROM, Magician, let me make three things clear:#1: The only reason I even have a Gold ROM is so that I can play the game in English.
#2: I plan on purchasing the game with authentic United States dollars when it comes out stateside.
#3: Think before you act. IT'S NOT NECESSARY TO GO SCREAMING YOUR HEAD OFF AT EVERYBODY LIKE THIS. And that's all I have to say about that. ------------------
