Just go to wherever the tournament is and go in... Or if they require you to sign up in order for you to enter, then sign up before it gets started..

thanx joltwak and could someone aswer these questions for me:

1how many pokemon can you use?
2can you use 2 of the same pokemon?
3is there a time limit on the battle?
4can 2 or more pokemon hold the same item?
5What happens if you win?
6can you get a free mew or celibi?
7how do you know when a tournament is happening?

1- 6 in your team.. battles are 3x3.

2- If there is Specie Clause, no.

3- Sometimes there is a time limit around 15 minutes.

4- If there is Item Clause, no.

5- ¬¬

6- I think so, since you live in the USA.

7- I think you can talk with other players, read news in some pokémon sites or go to some anime/ videogame events.

ok thanx but uh... i gots one more question. The tournaments won't allow you to use a gamesharked mew right.... but how do they know if it's gamesharked or not. My cousin got kicked out of a tournament because he had a gamesharked mew and it looked just like everyone elses legal mew. I just don't get it [Confused]

You could always change the ID Number and set the stats that you'd get with a Mew with a Gameshark... Or..don't use Mew at all.

No, they will.

They *know these things* dude. They run your cartridge through a laser verification machine when you enter to battle each contender. It checks to make sure you have never used a gameshark before. If you have then they won't let you battle anyone, but they'll give you a sticker and let you hang around and watch other people battle. it sucks cause it happened to my friend billy. He almost cried.

heh, don't even bother using mewtwo, there are cooler psychics out there.

and if you can, you can always get your own Mewtwo from a RBY cart...shouldn't take long to raise, considering raising pokemon in RBY is faster than GSC (Because of the levels in the pokemon League).

and if you're really not sure and want an 00ber, use one of the GSC 00bers...they're just as good as mewtwo.

I'm not 100% sure of the origins of my Mew, since I got it in a trade from my friend's little cousin... I know I've cloned it and put one on all six of my cartridges, though. Sucker makes a fantastic HM slave, as we all know. ^_^; The stats and stuff all check out, and it had FLY, Mega Punch, Metronome and Transform on it when I got it way back in the day, which lends credit to the idea that the original trainer wasn't a GSer (as he was clearly too stupid to breathe, let alone shark ^_^). This Mew has, according to legend, been whored around an entire school of little idiots. Each with Fly. *tsk tsk*

Would this mighty laser machine really know if that Mew was GS'ed or not?

Seriously? Do they use a Mighty Laser Machine? How can it detect if you've used GameShark? I thought they did something like scan the RAM for erroneous bytes that could've been placed there by a false code?

I'm pretty sure in serious tournaments, like world championships, and maybe Nintendo Street Team stuff, they'll use a laser scanning device.

Man they're strict [Eek!]

So even if i never used a gameshark on my game and got a gameshark pokemon from a trade would they still see sharkery if the pokemon was put in the pc?? or would i have to release all of my pokemon that were gamesharked?? Or i guess i could start my game over and enter the pika cup [Big Grin]

Well if you GS right, can they still know? I mean, Im not genna lie to ya, I cought all my pkmn legit but I used GS to rase levels (didnt touch IVs). I dont care much, I've accepted the fact that no tourny will be coming by my way (or any way probibly) but just incase.
