I had a really stupid thought. Would the standards that dominate teams in Oddish Mem work in real life? Or is there no life beyond gsbot?

The GSBot Bog Standards would actually work quite well in real life. After all, GSBot or no, Snorlax still gets STAB on Double-Edge, still has a high attack rating, and is still a tank.

Machamp kicks the crap out of Tyranitars.

No one prepares for Perish Trappers in real life.

The only Standard who would probably have trouble outside of GSBot is Skarmory.

i use my GSbot team on my Gameboy version...and i know ET does too...

i'm sure many of the people on irc that use standards would surely use the same exact team on Gameboy version if a tourney came around...

i know a bunch of people that have the standard GSbot teams on gameboy too...

it's kinda different i'd say though...

since Nintendo would have item clause and stuff, strategy would work differently imho.

Whenever I'm going to play my friends or have a mini tournament between them, I train my current GB team with my handy Dodrio mode on Stadium 2 [Wink]

And I don't go with a Skarmory or anything, just pure attack power, cause my friends suck, but I always keep a Heal Beller just incase.

The only problem I see that using GSbot does is get people too used to high DVs. However, breeding easily fixes this problem, but there is a difference between having a 15 HP dv and having an 4, 8, etc. I think that the DVs lead to a lot of Psuedo-hazers you wouldn't normally see. Also, in real life, it's pretty hard to get that perfect stat Suicune, Zapdos, or Raikou [Razz] .

That's really impressive MrE. Did you get that first try or did you repetitively catch it?

DVs are set from the time they're released, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna go through the game to release it again, look for it again, and catch it again just to try getting one with better stats.

You sure the legends have set dvs from their release? I've heard of people seeing shiny Suicune's once, but not twice.

Hmm, perhaps they DO have set DVs. Notice their HP remains the same after they receive some damage, flee and are found once again?
