This isn't a war story but if you think that Nintendo has given up on us having tournaments, think again! There is now a Pokémon Center store in New York City (which has just opened up in NYC today) & from what I have heard from reading the store's website, it says that it will have Pokémon GameBoy Tournaments. I have a feeling that Nintendo has been thinking about the popularity of Pokémon & they have answered to our desperate cries about more tournaments. With a Pokémon Center store now having tournaments, no one will be battle hungry for a while. Though it's not a yearly tournament, we will finally have a place to go to for tournaments. They could at least get it a little closer to me. One in the midwest area even would be nice, although I probably couldn't get my parents to take me if it were much farther than half an hour away.

The closest they could get one to me is Chicago, and I can't get my parents to drive 4 hours for Pokemon.

The online store is really limited. I hope that changes soon since most Pokefans, being the ages that they are, won't be able to get to NYC anytime soon.

I'd love to take a pilgrimage at some point to the store. It'd be cool to meet up with and go with some other Azurians too but if I cross state lines with many of y'all it's a felony

I'm going to the NY store in two weeks. I'm bringing an insane amount of pokemon on my Crystal version to Battle with. Stay tuned for war stories.

They claim to have an entire section devoted for people to battle pokémon. I plan on battling everyone in the building, and spending way too much money.

What's the point in another championship? I already won the one Nintendo gave. I don't see any reasoning behind Nintendo giving you another.

London one....mid/late 2002 keeps flashing in my head but I'm sure I don't know or remember. Theres definitley to be a London one though. Hopefully around Pokemon Advance/Black time.

I have been to the pokemon center in New York, and there is no place to battle... ~_~;; there are only two little tables for card game battles, beside two flat screen TVs. There is a little section off to the side where there are 2 N64s with Pokemon Stadium. Each only has 1 controller, and doesn't have a transfer pack. The other 4 screens are conected to Game Cubes.
There is a section where you can receive pokemon, and they are all shiny! Each month is different. This month's pokemon are Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. I came a day after they stopped giving away Mewtwos... But now I have about 20 of each. They try to trick you, by saying you can only get 1 from each station on one pack, but you can beat it once you find out the combination. First you go to the one right by the opening to it, then go to the one on your right, then go to the remaining one, then repeat this process. There used to be 4 stations, but one was vandalized and it is out of commmision.
I tried to battle people there, but nobody really wanted to battle... I would go again, if I could actually battle someone... All in all, it was ok. Not too good, but not too bad.
